Competition for the design of a poster promoting the 50th International SATYRYKON

Competition for the Design of a Poster Promoting the 50th International SATYRYKON Exhibition – Legnica 2027

50 YEARS OF SATYRYKON

In 2027, Satyrykon will celebrate its 50th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, we are launching a competition for the design of a poster promoting the 50th International Exhibition SATYRYKON – Legnica 2027.

For the past 49 editions, the Satyrykon poster has been entrusted to a selected artist. Each year, we invited a particular creator to collaborate with us, whose individual artistic language became part of the visual identity of that edition.

In this jubilee year, we have decided to do things differently.

Over the past five decades, Satyrykon has brought together a unique community of artists from Poland and around the world. We have had the pleasure of working with many of them, while others we have been following and appreciating for years, and there are still others we would love to meet at future editions. The anniversary has made us realise just how difficult it would be to choose a single artist from among so many outstanding creators to design the poster for the 50th anniversary.

So this time, we are not choosing an artist – we are launching an open competition and giving artists the opportunity to have their say.

We invite you to present your own vision of the jubilee edition of Satyrykon. We are looking for a poster that is distinctive, original and memorable. It may refer to the event’s fifty-year history, but it does not have to be a retrospective. It may amuse, surprise or provoke thought – just as the works presented at Satyrykon have done for five decades.

The author of the winning design will receive a prize of PLN 7,500, and the selected poster will become part of the visual identity of the jubilee edition of Satyrykon.

Entries may be submitted until 31 October 2026 to: satyrykon@lck.art.pl

The design must include the following wording:

„50 lat Satyrykonu. Legnica 2027”

Each participant may submit a maximum of two original designs.

We invite both artists who have been associated with Satyrykon for many years and those whose paths have not yet crossed with ours.
