Results of 27th Aydin Dogan International Cartoon Competition - TurkeyJury: Terry Mosher (Canada, Chair), Ercan Akyol, Odile Conseil (France), Latif Demirci, Selçuk Demirel, Cristina Sampaio (Portugal), Kanybek Turumbekov (Kyrgyzstan).
The Jury examined the 188 cartoons by 172 artists from 42 countries selected by the Preselection Jury (from 2.561 entries by 865 catoonists of 73 countries) and decided to award the prizes as follows:
First Prize: Ahmet Öztürklevent (Turkey)
Second Prize: Sergei Bobylev (Russian Federation)
Third Prize: Kürşat Zaman (Turkey)
Success Awards: Musa Gümüş (Turkey), Necdet Yılmaz (Turkey), Evzen David (Czech Republic), Vladimir Kazanevsky (Ukraine), Valentin Druzhinin (Russian Federation), Mohsen Nasari (Iran), Gomez Claudio Antonio (Brazil), Jerzy Gluszek (Poland), Moacir Knorr Gutterres (Brazil), Kürşat Zaman (Turkey), Mohammad Ali Khalaji (Iran), Pavel Constantin (Romania).
The prize-giving ceremony of the competition will be held in Istanbul in October 2010.
