XVII. BIENNIAL COMPETITION CARTOON
TOPIC: WATER
DEADLINE: 15.8.2013
Competition rules:
1. Each author can send at maximum five original works, including graphic techniques.
2. The competition is open to everyone. It is not restricted in terms of artistic design methods.
3. The format of the works should not exceed the size A3.
4. The competition is non-anonymous. Each work should be signed on the back and bear the author's full address.
5. Submitted works will be not returned to the author and will become the property of the MsKS Nove Mesto nad Vahom.

Friday the 20th September 2013 will be held in Nove Mesto nad Vahom an exhibition of the best competing works, a festive announcement of the results and the handing of prizes to the most successful authors of the 17th competition in accordance with the Juryґs decision will take place as follows:
1st Prize: Gold Novomestsky Osten and 250 €
2nd Prize: Silver Novomestsky Osten and 150 €
3rd Prize: Bronze Novomestsky Osten and 100 €
The Competition Jury reserves the right not to grant any of the prizes or to grant other special prizes.
The organizers of the competition reserve the right to publish selected works in promotional materials.
Selected competitor will receive a catalogue.

For the International Forum on visual humor KARIKATURUM 7, 145 artists and designers from 34 countries sent 398 works. After two days of hard work the jury selected the winners in "Cartoon" section with theme "Beauty":

Catalog 14th International Open Cartoon Contest Zielona Gora, Poland 2012

Received the catalog of the 14th International Open Cartoon Contest Zielona Gora, Poland 2012. The catalog published in 2012 is 14.8x21 cm in size and has 110 color pages. According to Maia Radziszewska's "instead of an introduction", "the subject of the contest Plane-Airport-Flying turned out to be inspiring, and the works can be divided into groups, according to the main motives. There is a motive of flying as such, with brooms, angels, Icaruses, birds and fanciful aircrafts instead of planes. There are "cheap flights", air "trips", emergency landings and cartoons that show very complicated airport's functioning nowadays. Naturally, the artists could not omit the pilots, air hostesses and the passengers as well as the romantic and the less romantic aspects of sailing up. Many works also touch on politics and everyday customs."

Of the 11 participants from Turkey are selected 4 cartoonists, namely Erdoğan Başol, Recep Bayramoğlu, Musa Gümüş, and Tan Oral, whose published cartoons are included in this blog.

The organizer of 9th International festival of cartoon Solin 2013 is the city Solin. The festival is opened for everyone regardless of nationality, age, sex, or profesion.
