Tackle Climate Change with Creativity

Global warming and climate change is one of the biggest and most urgent challenges facing the world today. It is not just governments and business sectors that have a role to play in meeting this challenge. Every one of us can contribute. How we live our lives now, and the daily choices we make, can make a real difference to the future of our climate.

The "Art on Climate" International Illustration Competition is inviting illustrators from across the world to create artworks that address the theme of climate change. Its goal is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions to tackle climate change, and to inspire the public to make meaningful changes in its lifestyle in response to this global challenge.

Eligibility: any person aged 18 or above*,

from any location, is eligible to participate.

*Aged 18 or above on 19 June 2022.

Artwork Specifications 

• Must be original works relevant to the theme of the competition and submitted by participants on an individual basis. 

• Each participant may submit up to a maximum of three artworks. 

• The submitted artwork(s) must not have been previously published or previously used for any other purpose. 

• Can be in any medium (for example, painting, computer software, mixed media), but the result must be a flat image and created in colour. Clip art is not allowed. 

• Should be in A3 size (297mm x 420mm), in either horizontal or vertical format. 

• Must be uploaded in JPG format, with a resolution of no less than 300 dpi, and the total size of each entry should be no more than 10MB. 

• Each artwork should be accompanied by a short description (minimum 30 words, maximum 100 words).

INTERNATIONAL CARICATURE FESTIVAL, FERIZAJ 2022

Eighth EDITION

A. PARTICIPATION 

Organizer of the INTERNATIONAL CARICATURE FESTIVAL, FERIZAJ 2022, VIII EDITION, is the Association of Cartoonists "HiTHi" - Ferizaj, Kosovo. 

All cartoonists over the age of 18 from all over the world can participate, regardless of nationality, sex, color or profession.

c) Free 

C. EXPLANATION ON THE TOPIC "PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES" 

It may happen that we do not understand people with disabilities, due to health problems born or caused by an accident. This is so, more due to our lack of knowledge of this category, than their disregard. 

This time we want, to give educational messages to all of us through cartoon, that this category of people have any physical disability or other, while in other areas they can be very useful to society and being active, they are good for themselves and society. 

Cartoonists are the ones who give silent messages, but ring like bells and draw attention to that part of society that don't realize that they themselves are not limitless. 

As an orientation, these titles can serve: 

- Persons with disabilities and traffic 

- Persons with disabilities and urbanism 

- Persons with disabilities and society 

- Persons with disabilities and the social circle 

- Persons with disabilities and sports, etc. 

D. THE CONDITIONS

1. Author-signed digital artwork will be accepted in A4 format, in JPG with 300 dpi, in various techniques, in color or white. 

2. Cartoons must not have won at festivals before. 

3. A maximum of 5 works (cartoons) can be submitted for each topic. 

5. The author should send a picture, a brief CV, phone number, exact location address and email address.

E. DEADLINE 

The deadline for submitting works is 10 July 2022. 

F. PRIZES  

First prize: "Golden HiTH" plaque and 300 euros monetary value 

Second prize: "Cash Money HiTH" Plaque and 200 euros monetary value 

Third prize: Bronze HiTH plaque and 100 euros monetary value 

Five special awards: Diploma 

a) Only artists who send cartoons on the subject "Persons with disabilities" will be rewarded with monetary prizes. 

G. EXHIBITION 

The exhibition will open in the City Square in Ferizaj or at the Ferizaj Art Gallery on September 23, 2022 at 18.00! 

H. OTHER CONDITIONS 

Authors who qualify for the exhibition will receive digital certificates for high artistic value, while other participants will receive certificates of participation. 

The printed catalog will include only exhibitors, while the digital catalog will include all contestants. 

The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the works submitted to Caricature Festival, Ferizaj 2022, VIII Edition, and their advertising without having to pay a fee to authors whose work can be used for the aforementioned purposes. 

Guest of Honor of the Caricature Festival, Ferizaj 2022, VIII Edition, will be the Albanian cartoon veteran, Mr. Bujar Kapexhiu, who will appear with 20 cartoons, out of competition. 

We welcome you with love to Ferizaj, in the city which has three features that other cities do not: 

1/ Ferizaj is a city with the year it was founded in 1873, when it was born together with the Vienna-Thessaloniki railway. 

2/ Ferizaj became a city for once, having never been inhabited. 

3 / In Ferizaj is the Nerodima Bifurcation, a special phenomenon, where the river is divided into two branches and never joins again. The right branch joins the river Lepenc, Vardar and flows into the Aegean Sea, while the left branch joins Moravia, the Danube is poured into the Black Sea. 

Let cartoons serve as a bridge of cooperation between peoples even when pointless conflicts and bloodshed occur in the world, but cartoons made its way crossing borders through virtual exhibitions and penetrates where it is dedicated to you.

International Exhibition on a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind 2022, China

Requirements 

Any cartoon or illustration submitted must be the participant's original work. There must be no plagiarism, copying or duplication. The genre may be, but is not limited to, a cartoon or illustration. Format type: JPG; Resolution: 300 dpi; File size: at least 2MB (at least 3,000 pixels along the longest dimension), no larger than 10MB. 

A participant may submit a maximum of 20 images, with no limit to single images or a series. 

A brief introduction about the contribution, including its title and a caption, is required. 

Please give us your e-mail address and phone number so we can reach you should there be any significant developments. 

The contribution should be accompanied by at least one tag in order to be entered into a specific category or categories when uploading.

It is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that his or her contributions to the exhibition do not generate any copyright or other intellectual property rights disputes, and the organizers are not responsible for any losses or damages. 

By submitting a contribution to the exhibition, each participant irrevocably agrees that in the event his/her/their work is selected as a winning or a shortlisted entry, the participant grants the organizers the permanent rights to exhibit, publish and disseminate the work, which means the organizers are authorized to use the work for (online and offline) exhibition, (print and digital) publication, display on China Daily platforms (including but not limited to newspapers, websites, apps, and domestic and overseas social media accounts), and portfolio books or cultural and creative products (for free distribution and not for sale). 

By submitting a contribution, each participant irrevocably agrees that in the event his/her/their work is selected as a winning or a shortlisted entry, at the organizers' sole discretion, the partners may use the contributions for non-profit exhibition and publication. 

The organizers take precedence over the right to use a contribution for financial gain. With a prior tripartite agreement among the organizer, the work's creator and a third party, which shall expressly stipulate issues including authorization and disposition of income, the organizer may authorize or partner with the third party to use the contribution for commercial purposes.
