TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
(KYRENIA – CYPRUS)

1. The contest is open to all amateur or professional cartoonist or any one who could submit a cartoon regardless individual's race, gender, religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, age, or other protected characteristic.
2. Themes: Olive, Olive and Time, Olive and History, Olive and Mythology, Olive and Technology, Olive and Cyprus, Olive and Life, Olive and Peace, Olive and Conflict, Olive and War, Olive and Health, Olive and Women, Olive and Men, Olive and Children, Olive Oil, Olive Branch, Olive Tree, Benefits of Olive, Olive and Olive Mill/Press, Banning of Uprooting, Burning and Cutting Down Olive Trees and so forth.
3. All Submissions must be in the form of cartoon. Any painting or illustrations will not be accepted and will be disqualified. Cartoons must be without words
4. All submissions must be originals. Submission dimensions: A4 or A3 in any color or black and white. Each entrant must provide name and surname, address, phone number including country code, and email address on the back of the submission; each entrant should also provide short background and a photo (optional) on a separate A4.
5. Submission of materials, which has previously been submitted and or presented and or published elsewhere, is welcomed providing copyright is not infringed, however previously any award wining material cannot be submitted.
6. All work submitted for evaluation by the International Selection Committee and work of finalist will be published at official web page of the competition. In addition submissions will be reviewed and evaluated for plagiarism by international associations. If Plagiarism detected and or any previously award wining material submitted, submissions will be canceled and the next eligible entry will be considered for the prize.
7. Entrants could submit more than one work, however no more than one award will be awarded to participants.
8. All submission must be received by APRIL 30, 2017 at the address provided below.
9. All submission, awarded or not, will be kept and archived by Cypriot – Turkish Cartoonist Association at the newly established “International Cyprus Cartoon Museum.”
10. All prize winner submissions and selected works by the Steering Committee will be published in a booklet and displayed at the City Center by the Kyrenia Municipality building during the “16. International Olive Festival 2017.”
11. The results of the competition will be published thru media and prizing winning entrants will be informed by contact information provided.
12. Kyrenia Municipality will provide travel and boarding expenses for three prize winners and six special prizewinners as stated in the terms and conditions of the competition. The prize-winning cartoonist must respond to the prize ceremony invitation within 10 days. The responses outside of 10 days are not considered.
13. The Kyrenia Municipality and Cypriot – Turkish Cartoonist Association will have the publishing rights to publish or print, in any media or format, any or all submissions.
14. All persons entering the competition agree that the rules of the competition as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them. And all submissions could be published and printed by the Kyrenia Municipality and Cypriot – Turkish Cartoonist Association as set out in these terms and conditions without any future compensation.

The Ministry of Culture in Egypt, in cooperation with Egyptian Caricature Association organize the 4th International Cartoon Gathering.
Eligible Participants:
• Opened to all artists from all over the world above 18 years of age.
Theme: The Woman
Technical Criteria:
· All artworks to be prepared at 300 dpi.
· Size A3 (297mmx420mm) in JPG format.
· Entries: Max. 5 cartoons.
· Submitted works can be in color or black and white, in any style or technique.
· Submitted works must not violate copyright laws.
· By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his own and permit the organizers have full right to reproduce all or a part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the exhibition.
· All artworks should be away from sexuality or any other sexual suggestiveness.

The 6th Sejong International Cartoon Contest SICACO 2017, Korea

The SICACO Committe is inviting world cartoonists to take part in SICACO 2017 (the 6th Sejong International Cartoon Contest).
1. This year's contest comprises a Thema section (titled Success+Failure) and Free section (soccer, etc).
2. The size of works should be smaller than 297mm × 420mm.

The Norwegian Cartoonist Gallery and tOOns MaG /Arifur Rahman invite you to participate in the international exhibition and contest “Freedom of Expression” 2017.
Requirements for participating:
1. The cartoon have to be new, never published before.
2. The cartoon can be produced traditionally or digitally.
3. Participants may send maximum five works. In case of including text, it must be in English.
4. Cartoons with your C.V. , address (in doc. format) and a personal photo have to be sent to the following email address: freedom@toonsmag.com

Awards and prizes:

An international jury of eight members will make a selection of the submitted cartoons which are to be exhibited and published in www.toonsmag.com. The jury members will be considered as participants in the exhibition and represent their own countries.
Selected cartoons will be exhibited in Norway, Slovakia and in India so far and can be exhibited in some other countries. Cartoons can only be used for promotion purposes (Printing, Exhibition, Websites, Newspapers, Posters and Invitation cards).

10. Additional Key Points

11. The Jury

12 Copyrights

2) If a contribution has any intellectual property rights or copyright dispute, the organizer holds the right to revoke the participant’s eligibility to participate in the competition. Participants are solely liable for any consequence that may arise from submitting work to the competition. The participant must be the owner of all rights on the work submitted and it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that his or her contributions to the competition do not generate any copyright or other intellectual property rights dispute.
3) News Cartoon reserves the right to use the contributions for presentation and media use.
4) Organizers and participants share the copyrights of the contributions; the organizers of the event have the right to display and distribute the works of the contestants.

XX INTERNATIONAL BIENNIAL OF GRAPHIC HUMOR CUBA 2017

The circle of comic artists and cartoonists of The Cuban Journalists Union and the San Antonio de los Baños Humor Museum, call for the XX International Biennial of Graphic Humor, Cuba 2017, which will take place from April 2nd to April 5th, 2017 co-sponsored by the Artemisa Province Culture Direction.
ABOUT THE GRAPHIC HUMOR CONTEST
The participation in the contest is open to all graphic artists. They can compete with free theme sending original artwork or digitally processed (printed and signed by the author) with a maximum format of 30 x 40 cm. It is possible to compete in:
-General Humor
-Political Satire
-Humor comic
-Caricature
-Humor Photography
-"Tomy" Online Award of political humor (in memory of the caricaturist Tomas Rodriguez Zayas) that in this occasion will focus on "Perspectives from the South" (300dpi JPG)

-Eduardo Abela Prize, the greatest award of the contest in honor of the outstanding Cuban caricaturist (1889-1965) consisting of a diploma and 1000 cuc.
