ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR CARICATURE & SATIRICAL PORTRAIT
CARICATUNIS 2022
Under the auspice of the Ministry of Culture, Fayoum Art Center is pleased to announce the details of the annual international competition for caricature & satirical portrait “CARICATUNIS 2022”
1️⃣ Cartoon Theme: Climate Change
Climate change challenges and their impacts on future generations are more and more visible. YOU, the ARTISTS are visionaries and foretellers. Are you the optimist that can show us how an utopian future can look like? What would our world look like in the near future if nations in collaboration with the public and private sector, civil society and development partners work together towards a much needed change. Or warn us from the dystopian outcome that awaits us if we fail to act now to save generations to come.
2️⃣ Satirical Portrait: George Bahgoury
Through this year’s edition we would like to celebrate the iconic Egyptian cartoonist and visual artist George Bahgoury. His influences and contributions to the Egyptian as well as the international art scene in general, and caricature in particular deserve to be highlighted by your talents.
Conditions:
● Open to artists from anywhere in the world
● Works must be in JPEG format, 300 dpi, A3 size
● Works can be black and white or color, in any style or technique

By submitting an entry, the entrant certifies that the work is his own and permits the organizers to reproduce all or part of the entered material for publication free of charge and/or display in media related to the competition.
Prizes (in each Category):
1st Prize 500$ (awarded by jury)
2nd Prize 250$ (public vote on social media platforms)
