INTRODUCTION:
In commemoration of its 15th Anniversary, SMP IT (Junior High School) PAPB Semarang in collaboration with the Gold Pencil Indonesia, will hold "PAPB International Cartoon Festival 2019" on 10th-16th February 2019. The festival will involve all students and professional cartoonists throughout the world.
PAPB International Cartoon Festival 2019 will be going to be packaged in exhibitions and cartoon workshops for students.
THEME: "Unity in Diversity"
CATEGORIES:
This festival is divided into two categories. Please include categories when sending works.
1. Professional Category
2. Students Category: open for the cartoonists who are 16 and younger (under 16).
DEADLINE: 1st February 2019
THE CRITERION OF WORKS:
1. This cartoon festival can be followed by all cartoonists from all over the world.
2. Cartoon must be colorful, black and white are not allowed.
3. Please send your cartoon work to: goldpencil.id@gmail.com
4. File size / format: minimum size: 1 MB; maximum size:15 MB; file format: JPG; Resolution: 300 dpi; Color mode: RGB. In other words the work must be safe and good to be printed on A3 paper.
5. Each cartoonist is entitled to submit maximum 5 (five) cartoons.
6. Cartoons are the cartoonists original idea.
7. The copyright of the work of the contest remains in each cartoonist.
8. The committee is entitled to use the work received for the purposes of publication, branding and others that are still relevant to the festival.

The 25th International Cartoon Humour Competition
on the topic of BEER,
GOLDEN KEG 2019
On Monday, 1st April 2019, an exhibition of the best competing works, a festive announcement of the results and the handing of the prizes to the most successful authors of the 25th competition in accordance with the Jury´s decision will take place as follows:
GRAND PRIZE (Grand Prix) Golden Keg and 500 €
1st Prize Small GOLDEN KEG and 200 €
2nd Prize Small GOLDEN KEG and 150 €
3rd Prize Small Golden KEG and 100 €.
The Jury of the competition reserves the right not to award some of the prizes, to modify the amounts of the financial rewards and/or to award more prizes and/or honorary mentions.
The organisers will accept for the competition all works that will be delivered at the address of the Šarišská gallery in Prešov by 1st March 2019.
The organisers of the competition reserve the right to publish selected works in promotional materials and to reinstall the exhibition.
The diploma and the exhibition catalogue will be received in print by every awarded author and in the electronic form by every participating author who also provides his or her e-mail address. Main prizes and financial rewards can be received by an awarded author only in person or through a person authorised by him/her.
Competition rules:
1. Each author can send at maximum five original works, including graphic techniques.
2. The competition is open to anybody and everybody, and it is not restricted in terms of artistic design methods.
3. The formats of the works should not exceed the A4 dimensions.
4. The competition is non-anonymous. Each work should be signed on the reverse and bear the author´s full address.
5. The rewarded works will become property of the BEER GALLERY in Prešov.

Bastogne International Press Cartoon Contest 2019, Belgium

Contest – Make love not war
In 2019 Bastogne will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.
Today after 75 years, peace has not returned to the world.
Bastogne International Press Cartoon joins the event with the organization of a Contest.
Important dates:
Deadline: 15 March 2019
Jury meeting: 30 March 2019
Opening and prize giving ceremony: 23 May 2019.
RULES OF THE BASTOGNE INTERNATIONAL PRESS CARTOON
THEME 'MAKE LOVE NOT WAR'
1. The number of entries is limited to 5.
Any kind of graphical technique will be accepted. The works may not have been exhibited, published or awarded before. The drawings shall not bear subtitles.
2. You can send your works only via e-mail at raphaeldonay3@gmail.com or angelo.frade@gmail.com before 15th March 2019
Dont forget to mention, the surname, forename and address of the participant.
The contest website will inform you if your works have arrived. The list of participants is updated weekly.
3. The drawings shall have the following dimensions: A4 – 300 dpi, (maximum 3MB).
4. By participating, the artist agrees with this rules and the privacy disclaimer and authorize the organizers to publish the submitted works in the catalogue and for the promotion of the exhibition. For any other use of the cartoons the permission of the cartoonist is previously requested.
5. The following prizes are awarded:
1st prize: € 1.000,00 + trophy
2nd prize: € 500,00 + trophy
Best Belgian cartoon: € 250,00 + trophy.
On the occasion of the prize-giving ceremony, all the winners are invited for a stay of 3 days in Bastogne.
6. By participating the artist lends the submitted works to the organizers for itinerant exhibitions. Consequently, the selected works will remain at the disposal of the organizers until December 2020! The awarded works will become property of the organization.
7. If after announcement of the prizes, it appears that plagiarism has been committed, the jury can after deliberation withdraw the prize.
8. The international jury of cartoon professionals will meet in Bastogne on the 30th of March 2019. The complete list of jury members will be announced on our website after the 1st of January 2019.
9. The inauguration and prize-giving ceremony will take place the 23th of May 2019. The exhibition will be held at the Cultural Center of Bastogne.

Focus on the theme of the competition, though contributions relating to environment protection are also accepted.

3) If you submit your contribution via email, please follow the resolutions: - 300 dpi (file size no bigger than 2MB) - JPG - RGB - Longest side of the file should be under 1000 pixels.
4) Criteria for paper submissions: title of the work, participant’s name, and the name of the college or university he or she attends are required, author’s pen name is optional.
Caption of email contribution should be in .TXT format and include the title of the work, participant’s name, institute participant attends, address, and telephone number.

10. Additional Key Points
1) No fees needed for the competition
2) Cartoons and illustrations must be submitted

4) Monthly champions are selected according to the number of votes and views the submission receives.
5) The result will be publicized on News Cartoon, as well as other newspapers or websites.
11. The Jury
1) The jury is made up of famous cartoonists, university professors and experts of environment-protection.
2) The jury will maintain an objective, fair and just principles of the entries submitted for judging and voting, and recommended the winners.
3) The winner will be announced in April 2019.
12 Copyrights
1) The organizers reserve the right to refuse entries they consider morally, politically or religiously offensive, as well as work that is considered in violation of the acknowledged moral standards.
2) If a contribution has any intellectual property rights or copyright dispute, the organizer holds the right to revoke the participant’s eligibility to participate in the competition. Participants are solely liable for any consequence that may arise from submitting work to the competition. The participant must be the owner of all rights on the work submitted and it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure that his or her contributions to the competition do not generate any copyright or other intellectual property rights dispute.
3) News Cartoon reserves the right to use the contributions for presentation and media use.
4) Organizers and participants share the copyrights of the contributions; the organizers of the event have the right to display and distribute the works of the contestants.
5) By submitting a contribution to the competition, the participant is agreeing to accept all of the rules.
