1.PARTICIPATION
The organizer of 8th International festival of cartoon Solin 2012. Is the city Solin. The festival is opened for everyone regardless of nationality, age,sex, or profesion.
2.THEME: 1. FREE ; 2. ARHEOLOGY .
3.ENTRIES
Conditions of entry:
1. All entries must be original cartoons. Framed works, also, will not be accepted.
2. Entries can be either black and white or colored.
3. There should be the name, surname and the address on the reverse side of cartoons.
4. Maximum 5 entries will be submitted.
5. Maximum size of entries is A3 format (40x30 cm)

8.OTHER CONDITIONS
Authors of works that quality to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue (DVD). The works will be returned only on the special reqest of an autor. The postage EUR5 will be paid by autor. The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the works sent to the festival, Solin 2012, as the advertising material without being obliged to pay a fee to an author whose work may be used. The prize-winning works become property of the organizer.

2nd International contest of cartoon «Fun in Vassylivka style» 2012, Ukraine
We declare new International competition of visual humour "Fun in Vassylivka style”. Held competition for development and support of cartoon, humour and satire in the genre of small graphic arts, strengthening of creative and professional international contacts, popularizations of local and other brands too.
Also to the exposure and support of young cartoonists.
Main theme: «Castle». Ancient, old, new, ultranew castles
1 prize - gold medal + diploma
2 prize - silver medal + diploma
3 prize - bronze medal + diploma
Another theme: «Rest and entertainment»
1 prize - gold medal + diploma

The terms of work of the contest:
Start sending - from 1 June, 2012 - to 15 August, 2012
Juri work: from 25 August, 2012
The choice of prize works of judge and organizational committee of competition reserve, in obedience to position about a competition. Opening of exhibition and awarding ceremony - from Septembers, 2 - for October, 15 in 2012
Conditions and rules
1. The competition is open, in contest can take part both professional artists and amateurs.
2. On a competition is accepted only author original works.
3. Works, sent an e-mail, are examined ( .jpg, 300 dpi ).
4. Technique of execution - any.
5. The amount of works is unreserved, minimum 2 works from every theme.
6. The works sent on a competition remain in collection of organizational committee of competition.
7. The inquiry of participant must be filled in a letter of seal by English, Russian or Ukrainian ( the form of participant is added ).
8. The works sent on a competition can be exhibited in show-rooms of Vassylivka, other museums, galleries, in decision of organizers and also can be placed on the site of museum.
9. Organizators must write name, surname author, his contry on all works.
10. Copyrights on image, names and texts of works, belong to the author, they do not change. An author carries responsibility for the works in obedience to the current legislation of Ukraine.
11. Pictures which were the before recipients of an award on other competitions, sending is possible, but with an obligatory mark, where and when they were the recipients of an award. The fact of participating means in a competition, that participant accept all terms of competition.
Special conditions
1. On opening of exhibition and ceremony of rewarding of winners can arrive all persons interested, before that warning the organizers of competition. For passage and dwelling they bear expenses.
2. As a result of competition "Fun in Vassylivka style" there will be given out catalogue. All authors, whose works, will enter in a catalogue after the conclusions of judge, will get the free catalogue of competition by mail.
3. Organizers and sponsors of competition can enter a few special prizes after receipt all works on a competition.

- The nominated applicants who participate in the awarding ceremony will have a free-of-charge pass, offered by the organizing committee.
- Trophies and certificates will be awarded prize winners and nominated applicants.
- All prizewinners are solely responsible for paying taxes in connection with any monetary award, in accordance with all applicable local laws.

11) The Right to Utilize the Work
- The applicant acknowledges and agrees that the Work (in whole or in part) may be reproduced and be widely utilized by the Organizer or its affiliated companies by means of broadcast (regardless of media), online transmission (including but not limited to the internet and mobile communications), exhibition, and distribution (e.g. in the form of a videogram).
- For the sole purpose of publicizing the Award and the future AYACC or similar award(s) organized by the Organizer, the Organizer shall have the right, without notice to the applicant, to utilize the Work in whole or in part by means of broadcast (regardless of media), online transmission (including but not limited to the internet and mobile communications), exhibition, and distribution (e.g. in the
form of a videogram) free of any payment to the applicant, in perpetuity.

The 22nd edition of „ Humor......at Gura Humorului”, the International Festival of Cartoon and Humorous Literature will be held between 13th and 15th of July, 2012.
THE CONTEST REGULATIONS: CARTOONS
1. The Edition theme: The Opportunists.
2. Original works are accepted, in digital format, created after January, 1st, 2011, which were not published and submitted or awarded prizes to other competitions.
3. Two (2) is the number of papers accepted.
4. The works will be submitted by June, 25th, 2012 (posting date) on the following addresses:

5. Technical requirements:
- Papers sent by e-mail: minimum 1600 x 1200 pixels, JPG format
- Papers sent by regular postal mail: format A 3
- The technique used for the works will be at the free choice of the artist.
6. The works are not to be returned. They will be added to the patrimony of the „Humor......at Gura Humorului” Festival and the organizers are entitled to use them later as edited materials with the name of their author on them.
7. The participants are required the following documents enclosed with their works: the completed entry form attached, a brief CV and a personal photography/cartoon self portrait of minimum 6x9 cm ( on paper) or 710x1065 pix. (digital format).
8. The prizewinners will be notified by July 7th, 2012 to be present for the Awards Festivity held on Sunday, July 15th, 2012.
9. Transport expenses, accomodation and meals are the responsibility of the participant or the organization / institution he/she is part of. The organizers will be notified in due time to make the necessary reservations
10. The prizes to be awarded:
1st Prize : EUR 500
2nd Prize : EUR 300
3rd Prize EUR 200
The "George Gavrilean" Prize for the debutantes from Bucovina - EUR 200.
11. The jury are the ones who decide upon awarding or not awarding or re-allocating the prizes. In addition, the jury will decide upon the works or the authors to be rewarded by sponsors, associations, mass-media, institutions, commercial societies or private persons, with their consent.
12. There will be no participation fees.
