PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS OF INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION SATYRYKON-LEGNICA 2010 - POLAND
1. The SATYRYKON 2010 International Exhibition is an open competition.
2. The objects of the competition are drawings, graphics and other works of fine arts and photography created with the use of optional techniques, being originals, completed within the recent two years (2009-2010), and qualified by artists to:
A) HUMOR and SOCIAL SATIRE (drawing without captions preferred)
B) SIN (drawing without captions preferred).
3. WORKS AWARDED IN OTHER COMPETITIONS will be excluded from the competition.
4. The format of works - maximum A3 (297 x 420 mm).
5. Works should be sent or delivered by February 7, 2010, packed in a protective cover to:
Miedzynarodowa Wystawa SATYRYKON - LEGNICA 2010 Akademia Rycerska, Chojnowska 2, 59-220 Legnica POLAND
Organisers are not responsible for transport damages.
THE PARTICIPANTS ARE KINDLY ASKED NOT TO POST THE WORKS VIA ELECTRONIC MEANS AS THESE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THE COMPETITION.
6. Participation in the competition is free of charge. However, organisers reserve the right to include one of the submitted works in the Satyrykon Gallery. The work, chosen by the author, will in this way cover our costs of mailing.
7. Works should be accompanied by their author's photo or caricature, a short biographical note and a filled application form (please use capitals).
PRIZES
1. Works for the competition will be qualified by the International Jury.
2. The Jury will award the following prizes:
* GRAND PRIX SATYRYKON 2010 - pure gold key and purse amounting to 6.000 PLN
* 2 gold medals and purses amounting to 5.500 PLN
* 2 silver medals and purses amounting to 5.000 PLN
* 2 bronze medals and purses amounting to 4.500 PLN
* 4 special prizes amounting to 4.000 PLN each
* the Legnica Culture Centre director's award and purse amounting to 4.000 PLN for photographic work.
Jury has the right of final distribution of the statutory prizes, change of their amount, or non-awarding them or non-awarding the GRAND PRIX SATYRYKON. Jury's decisions are final.
The competition results will be announced on March 1, 2010 at Satyrykon web site: http://www.satyrykon.pl/ .

Awards are subject to taxation according to the current regulations. The condition to pay the authors is their arrival for the opening of the exhibition and collection of their awards by December 15, 2010, or it can be transferred into a bank account in a currency specified by the author.
PRIVILAGES OF PARTICIPANTS
1. Authors of work qualified to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue and a free-of-charge place in the catalogue.
2. Organisers provide competition prize-winners with gratuitous participation in the SATYRYKON 2010 event on June 17-20, 2010.
3. Works sent to the exhibitions will be exhibited in the country and abroad after the main exhibition, and then will be returned to their authors by the end of 2011. We kindly ask the authors to notify us about any changes to their address data. FINAL PROVISIONS
1. The organisers reserve the right to use the sent works for SATYRYKON advertising purposes without any special fees paid to the authors: to be exhibited and reproduced in a variety of advertising materials, as well as printed and circulated in catalogues.
2. The prize-winning works become the property of the organisers and will be included in the collection of the Satyrykon Gallery.
3. The exhibition organisers are the final judges in interpretation of the regulations.
4. Sending her/his work the artist agrees to the mentioned above rules and regulations and agree to the publishing of the author's profile in the post-exhibition catalogue.

Press Cartoon Europe (PCE) Grand Prix 2010
HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITION PRESS CARTOON EUROPE (PCE)
1. Participation in PCE is free of charge.
2. The cartoons which you will submit to us must all have appeared in the course of 2009 in a newspaper, magazine or periodical which is available to the general public, and which is published in one of the member countries of the European Union, plus Switzerland, Turkye and Iceland.
3. Each cartoon participating in PCE must be accompanied by the name and date of the publication in which it originally appeared.
4. Each cartoon participating in PCE must be accompanied by the author's personal details: family name, first name, full postal address, and telephone numbers, email address, website (if any).
5. Your cartoons, up to a maximum of three, must reach us by Friday 1st January 2010 at the latest.
6. Only those cartoons sent electronically (jpg format: minimum 300 dpi) to the following address will be considered as valid entries: nathalie@presscartoon.com .
7. All texts and captions either within the cartoon or sent with them which are in a language other than French, English, German, or Dutch must be translated into one or another of these four languages.
8. On Friday 8th January 2010 the selection committee of PCE will nominate the cartoons chosen from all those submitted to go forward for the PCE Grand Prix.
The authors of these cartoons will be notified immediately.
9. PCE will be authorized to exhibit all nominated cartoons at the International Cartoon Festival at Knokke-Heist on the Belgian coast during the summer of 2010, and also to publish them in the annual of best European press drawings of 2009.
10. PCE will be able to make free use of all the nominated cartoons for any publications or communications in connection with the prize, including press releases, posters, announcements of events organized by PCE such as exhibitions, symposia, etc.
11. The jury, composed of journalists from several EU countries, all of whom are accredited by the European parliament in Brussels, will meet on Wednesday 17th February 2010 at the KVS (Koninklijke Vlaamse Schouwburg – the Royal Flemish Theatre) in Brussels, and will select the winning entry to be awarded the
PCE Grand Prix 2010. This meeting will be followed by a press conference during which the name of the winner will be announced.
12. The prize will be awarded during the opening ceremony of the International Cartoon Festival at Knokke-Heist on Saturday 26th June 2010.
13. The author of the winning cartoon will receive a cheque for 10.000 € as well as a bronze trophy created by the Belgian artist Ever Meulen.
14. The decision of the PCE committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Theme in the 5th International Award of humor and satire Costume: The World Cup
5th Edition International Award of humor and satire Costume - Italy
Directors Alfio Krancic and Claudio Bertieri announce the 5th edition of the International Prize of Humor and Satire of Costume "Giuseppe Novello: a gentleman of good family ", promoted by the Province of Lodi and the City of Codogno with support of public and private.
Participation is open to professional and amateur graphic artists, who may participate by sending unpublished drawings accompanied by the registration form. Are considered the unpublished work on any kind of periodical or exhibited in other exhibitions.
How to participate
Each artist will be allowed to participate with a maximum of three (3) works on the theme "The World Cup".
The work(s), accompanied by the complete Registration Form must be sent by the date of 11 January 2010 to:

May participate in the competition the following types of works: pencil drawings - China ink - watercolor - colored ink - markers or pennafeltri.
The work should be: a) unpublished b) free frame; c) to A4 (21 x 29.7 cm); d) a free choice, in black and white or color and can either contain text or not.
In the case of comics pages will be a maximum of three conform to standard sizes, and be numbered.
Awards
The works received will be judged by a jury made up of cartoonists, journalists, personalities from the entertainment world and culture. The best will be exhibited in the Exhibition International Award for Humor and Satire of Costume which opens Saturday, February 6, 2010 the premises of the historical building called "Vecchio Ospedale Soave" in Codogno, Via Gandolfi 6.
The winners will have the following prizes:
1) Novello Award - I st place € 1500.00
2) II nd place € 1000.00
3) III rd place € 500.00.
The works received will not be returned but will become part of the competition archive. They will then be kept by the Culture of the Municipality of Codogno. All entries may be used for promotional purposes of the Award itself or of cultural activities Comune di Codogno in every public and private media: magazines, newspapers, books, web, etc. in Italy or abroad. Therefore, with the participation the authors consent to the reproduction of their works provided it did not work for profit.

Just received the exhibition brochure De Geus 2009 from Belgium. The 1st prize-winner is Aleksei Kivokourtsev from Russia and his cartoon is published on the first page of the brochure which is fully in color.

Rules
1. Nature and scope of the Salon
The 2nd Amazon Humor Salon – Ecology in a line-drawing, intends to be part of the agenda of events related to cartoon production in Brazil and abroad. It aims at stimulating and publicizing the production of cartoonists in general. It is important that this salon is a graphic platform that will show the talent and critic perception of all cartoonists concerned with ecological problems that affect our planet, specially the Amazon region.
2. Deadlines
The 2nd Amazon Humor Salon – Ecology in a line-drawing, will take place from December 19th to 27th, 2009 at Espaço São José Liberto, Belém- Pará-Brazil. See deadlines below:
a) Registration/Submission of entries: from October 06th to November 20th, 2009;
b) Selection of entries: November 23rd, 2009;
c) Announcement of selected entries: November 25th, 2009;
d) Opening and Award Ceremony: December 19th, 2009;
e) Closing ceremony: December 27th, 2009.
3. Themes and Selection
Theme A: Ecology (Compulsory): We consider to be part of this category all cartoons whose theme is related to ecological problems. Seventy (70) works will be selected for this category.
Theme B: Rain (Optional): We consider to be part of this category all cartoons whose theme is related to rain. Fifty (50) works will be selected for this category.
4. Participation
a) Registration is open to artists of all nationalities;

5. The jury
a) The organizing team of the 2nd Amazon Humor Salon will appoint a Pre-Selection Committee whose responsibility will be to select works that will take part in the exhibition and in the contest. This Committee will also select the works that will be in the catalogue;
b) The Jury will be constituted by five members, all qualified professionals in the field;
c) The president of the Jury will be an artist specially invited for the event;
d) The number of works in the catalogue may be different from the number selected for the exhibition. No complaints on this matter will be considered;
e) The Jury is responsible for granting prizes and special awards;
f) Decisions made by the Jury and the Pre-Selection Committee are final;
6. Works and originals
a) Submitted works will not be returned and will be part of the Amazon Humor Salon’s collection;
b) The production company Central de Produção – Cinema e Vídeo na Amazônia, which is responsible for this project, has the right to use any submitted work, at any time, for publicizing the event;
c) None of the works will be put for sale or used for commercial purposes;
d) In order to complete his/her registration, the participant must accept and agree with the event’s terms and conditions;
7. Catalogue
a) All participants whose works are selected to be published in the catalogue will receive a copy, which will be sent within a period of 8 (eight) months after the closing of the Amazon Humor Salon;
8. Copyright
a) Submitting a work will automatically imply the author grants the salon reproduction rights for non-commercial purposes;
11. Prizes
a) A total of 4 (four) prizes will be given:
Ecological Cartoon
1st prize R$ 4,000.00 (gross amount)
2st prize R$ 2,000.00 (gross amount)
Rain Cartoon

1. Nature and scope of the Salon
The 2nd Amazon Humor Salon – Ecology in a line-drawing, intends to be part of the agenda of events related to cartoon production in Brazil and abroad. It aims at stimulating and publicizing the production of cartoonists in general. It is important that this salon is a graphic platform that will show the talent and critic perception of all cartoonists concerned with ecological problems that affect our planet, specially the Amazon region.
2. Deadlines
The 2nd Amazon Humor Salon – Ecology in a line-drawing, will take place from December 19th to 27th, 2009 at Espaço São José Liberto, Belém- Pará-Brazil. See deadlines below:
a) Registration/Submission of entries: from October 06th to November 20th, 2009;
b) Selection of entries: November 23rd, 2009;
c) Announcement of selected entries: November 25th, 2009;
d) Opening and Award Ceremony: December 19th, 2009;
e) Closing ceremony: December 27th, 2009.
3. Themes and Selection
Theme A: Ecology (Compulsory): We consider to be part of this category all cartoons whose theme is related to ecological problems. Seventy (70) works will be selected for this category.
Theme B: Rain (Optional): We consider to be part of this category all cartoons whose theme is related to rain. Fifty (50) works will be selected for this category.

a) Registration is open to artists of all nationalities;

Rules and organization of the competition
Concept:
The objective of the competition is to show creative view toward climate change via interpretation of professionals and amateur cartoonists from all over the world. Topics could be chosen among objectives accepted by EU for decreasing negative impact of human activities. Such could be: encouraging usage of renewable energy (sun, wind, geothermal energy, energy from tides and ebbs); CO2 trade emission schemes; improvement of energy efficiency and activities of each individual to decrease used energy (CO2 footprint).

І. Cartoon;
ІІ. Comic strip;
Conditions for participation:
Every participant can present up to 3 works in A3/A4 format;
Cartoons/comic strips can be color or black and white;
The participants should be at least 18 years old;
Deadline for accepting works is 30.11.2009 at address:
