CALL FOR PEACE WITHOUT WORDS

Before they build military bases on the moon, cartoonists are summoned to draw for PEACE WITHOUT WORDS. Homage to Betto , José Alberto Martínez (1968-2024), Colombian master of wordless humor drawing . 

By registering, you accept the terms and conditions of participation and authorize the Espiral Vital Foundation (NIT 902030639-6) https://espiralvital.art/ to use the images for promotional, reproduction, and exhibition purposes. You also agree to the handling of your personal data in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 for the protection of personal data. 

Participation requirements: 

 ADDRESSED TO: Human Cartoonists from all over the Planet. Not reptilians. 

TOPIC: Peace. From all kinds of contexts and perspectives. 

FORMAT: A4, 300 dpi, Digital files in PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF with a maximum size of 3 MB. 

Caricature is silent graphic humor, without words: it should not have dialogues. 

We do NOT accept AI . 

You can participate with a maximum of 2 drawings. 

Dates for receipt: May 2 to August 2, 2026. 

Registration: Complete and attach the cartoon files using this form. Registrations and proposals will not be accepted through any other means. 

The works will be evaluated by a jury composed of cartoonists, editors, and writers. The pre-selected and winners will be part of the LA PAZ SIN PALABRAS International Cartoon Salon from September 17 to 26 at the Gimnasio Moderno Library, Bogotá DC, Colombia, and will be part of the traveling exhibition “Póngale Cacumen” (Cartoon, Story and Mind), throughout the country. 

AWARDS: 

First place: Publication in the newspaper El Espectador https://www.elespectador.com/opinion , two original works by renowned Colombian opinion cartoonists and ¥ 5,000 (Chinese yuan). 

Second place: Publication in the newspaper El Espectador https://www.elespectador.com/opinion , two original cartoons by renowned Colombian opinion cartoonists. 

Third place: Publication in the newspaper El Espectador https://www.elespectador.com/opinion , an original by a renowned Colombian opinion cartoonist.
