Catalog of the 1st International Cartoon Gathering, Cairo, Egypt 2014
The catalog is 20.7 x 20.7 cm in size and has 72 pages. The list of 306 participants from 64 countries and the photo of the inauguration of the exhibition is also included. 228 works by world cartoonists are published in the catalog. The front cover cartoon is one of the works by Vladimir Kazanevsky from Ukraine and the back cover one is by Sun Shen Ying, the artist from China.
The Turkish cartoonists whose works are selected for the catalog are Eda Karaabdurrahmanoğlu, Dinçer Köksal, Serpil Kar, Mehmet Saim Bilge, Musa Gümüş, Menekşe Çam, Kemal Ozyurt, Ismail Kar, Cem Koç, and Saadet Demir Yalçın.
Many thanks to Fawzy Morsy, the cartoonist friend in the organizing committee of the exhibition who sent me this important book of world cartoon.
They are organizing the 3rd edition of the Gathering in 2016 with the theme of "Education" and "Free theme" also; the regulation is here.

C O N T E S T
Theme:
C A R N I V A L – E R O T I C A
Aphorism:
• In this category each author can participate with maximum of 10 aphorisms, printed in three copies, completed with code and particulars about the author, and set in sealed envelope.
• The authors are allowed to participate with more works, each as group of 10(ten) aphorisms and marked with particular code.
Caricature:
• In this category, the authors can participate and send 3 caricatures, maximum.
The technique is on their own choice, and dimensions A/4.
• Particulars about the authors should be written at the back side of the work.
Contest due date:
The works will be accepted up to: February 12, 2016, at latest.
Awards:
• Three main prizes will be awarded: Golden, Silver and Bronze Plaque.
• The Organizer retains the right to award some additional prizes.

PORTOCARTOON 2016 - Global Understanding - INVITATION
International organizations (ICSU, ISSC e CIPSH), under the patronage of UNESCO declared 2016 as the International Year of the Global Understanding. This is a good purpose for humorous reflection on so many misunderstandings spread by the media. From the world to the world.
Wolinski said that the humor needs disaster, despair and nervous breakdown, to bloom (PortoCartoon 2009 catalogue).
This is the challenge: to promote the global understanding, with the disagreement of humor!
Two great figures have been appointed for the 2016 edition of the Caricature Special Awards:
1 - Charlie Chaplin (1989-1971)
2 - Sara Sampaio (1991-) International model has been cover of the most famous fashion magazines in the world.
The choice of this figures aim to target the ingeniousness of humour artists, and arises from other designations made since 2013: Manoel de Oliveira and José Saramago (2013); Nelson Mandela and Siza Vieira (2014); Cristiano Ronaldo and Ernest Hemingway (2015).
We will be looking forward to receiving your most appreciated participation, with our best wishes for a 2016 full of humour,

2nd International Cartoon Exibition Sisak "MIKS 2016 All About Rock & Roll", Croatia
MIKS 2016 "All About Rock & Roll"
The project leader and the president of the Organizing Committee is a Mr. Nenad Ostojić.

A. PARTICIPATION
The festival is open to everyone, regardless nationality, age, sex, or profession.
B. CARTOON THEME
"All About Rock & Roll"
Topics of the "MIKS 2016" is "All About Rock & Roll"! How and why was created Rock & Roll! What it means and represents! Funny stories from the life of famous rock singer and rock band! As the rock and roll he changed from the beginning to today! In fact, all of rock and roll!
Portrait cartoonists will have a task to draw, their choice of the best guitarist of Rock and Roll!
C. ENTRIES
1. Original works and digital artworks will be accepted. Digital artworks is to be numbered in pencil on the front and pencil signed. Copies cannot be admitted.
2. Entries can be either black and white or coloured.
3. There should be the name, the surname and the address on the reverse side of the cartoons.
4. The cartoons must not have bee previously awarded on festival.
5. Maximum 5 entries will be submitted.
6. Size of entries is a A4 or A3 format (300 dpi).

G. EXHIBITIONS
The exhibitons will be staged in the Gallery of the City Mussem in Sisak, from 27.06.2016 to 30.07.2016.
H. OTHER CONDITIONS
Only at explicit request will the remaining (original) works be returned to the owners at the end of the exhibition cycle (in the second half of the year 2017).
Authors of the works that qualfy to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue.
The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the works sent to the festival, Sisak 2016, as the advertising material, without being obliged to pay a fee to the author whose work may be used.
The prize-winning works become the property of the organizer.
