8th International Turhan Selcuk Cartoon Competition 2018
THEME: OpenCONDITIONS:
1.The competition is open to any cartoonist.
2.It is acceptable to enter with cartoons that have been published previously. However, they should not have won any prize/award in any other competition.
3.Any technique is allowed. The cartoonist can submit a maximum of 5 cartoons. Originals or electronic versions suitable for printing in 300 dpi and jpg format sent by e-mail would also be acceptable. No responsibility will be assumed for documents sent in different formats and documents that can not be opened.
4.All cartoons must be 30x40cm maximum.
5.The participants must write their names (first and surname) in capital letters, address, e-mail, country and telephone number; a brief CV should be submitted in a sealed envelope.
6.The cartoons must be sent to the following address, no later than 30th April 2018

7.The results of the competition will be announced on 18th May 2018.
8.The cartoons sent to the competition will not be returned. All cartoons, whether they have won a prize or not, may be used for cultural purposes and may be published. Participation assumes acceptance of these conditions. All cartoons will be kept in the ‘Turhan Selcuk Karikaturlu Ev’.
9.The cartoons selected by the jury will be displayed in the exhibition and will also be printed in the album.
10.The reward ceremony will be held on 14th September 2018. The opening of the exhibition will be held on the same date, in ‘Turhan Selcuk Karikaturlu Ev’ for cartoons which have won an award or have been selected for display. The exhibition will be open until 1st October 2018.
11.Accommodation and meal expenses for participants who have won a ‘Special Award’ will be met. Travel expenses will be borne by the participants.
Travel, accommodation and meal expenses for competitors who come first, second and third will be met by Milas Municipality.

The 9th “Molla Nasreddin” International Cartoon Contest 2018, Azerbaijan
International Cartoon Contest.
2018 - is the year of the 10th anniversary of the “Molla Nasreddin”- Azerbaijan” International Cartoon Contest. On this occasion the theme of the “Molla Nasreddin” International Cartoon Contest organized in 2018 is “Jubilee”.
The IX International Cartoon Contest is held by the support of Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Azerbaijan Artists’ Union and Federation of Cartoonists Organizations.
The Terms of the Contest:
1. The topic of the Contest:
I. “Jubilee” (“Molla Nasreddin” Cartoon Contest is 10 years old).
II. “Jubilee” (I’m 50 years old).
2. You can write and send us your wishes, thoughts, offers and comments beside your cartoon works. Your comments will be published together with your cartoons in the Album of the Contest.
3. The Contest is held via internet.
4. The size of cartoon works must be in 300 dpi on jpg. Send them to this email:

5. Each cartoonist can send 2-5 works.
6. Cartoon works will be appreciated by the International Jury.
7. Deadline of the acceptance of works: 10 October 2018 (EXTENDED:) 30 DECEMBER 2018.

The color catalog of the 6th SICACO 2017 arrives from Korea
The classical A4 sized (21x29.7 cm) catalog has 104 pages of many cartoons each that it really deserves the title "World Cartoons Encyclopedia Vol.26". The cover cartoon is by the Russian artist Alexander Shmidt.
They received 1397 works by 415 entrants from 54 countries of whom 309 are prized. 98 entrants are students. 43 artists sent in 78 works by e-mail, yet digitoons are not prized. The most entrants from Korea (54) are followed by 50 artists from Iran, 32 from Serbia, 29 cartoonists from Turkey, 25 from China, 24 from Indonesia, and 19 entrants from Rumania.
From Turkey they received 98 works and 25 artists are prized:
Silver Prize: Halit K. Aytoslu.
Student Special Prize: Rumeysa Gül Tunç (14 y), Didar Aşkın Ayrancıoğlu (11 y), Serkan Güdükoğlu (14 y).
Student Honorable Mention: Birsel Berru Erdemir (13 y), Defne (12 y), Sude Nimet Kılıç (12 y), Toros Önce (13 y).
Theme Prize: Menekşe Çam, Kamil Yavuz, Kemal Özyurt, Hilal Özcan.
Achievement Award: Kaan Saatçi, Musa Gümüş, Musa Keklik.
Best Cartoon Prize: Mete Ağaoğlu, Ahmet Ümit Akkoca, Bülent Okutan, Erdoğan Başol, Ömer Çam, Raşit Yakalı, İsmet Lokman, Seyit Saatçi.

The 7th Sejong International Cartoon Contest SICACO 2018, Korea
1. This year's contest comprises a Thema section (titled ConxDe+struction) and a Free section (race, etc).
2. The size of works should be smaller than 297mm × 420mm.
3. Any color, free style, and unlimited items (+3 works).
4. Each entrant should provide title, name, age, address, career, e-mail, and telephone number on reverse.
5. The deadline for entry of original works is 31 August 2018.

19th International Festival of aphorisms and caricature-Strumica 2018, Macedonia
C O N T E S T Theme: C A R N I V A L – E R O T I C A
• In this category each author can participate with maximum of 10 aphorisms, printed in three copies, completed with code and particulars about the author, and set in sealed envelope.
• The authors are allowed to participate with more works, each as group of 10 (ten) aphorisms and marked with particular code.
Caricature:
• In this category, the authors can participate and send 3 caricatures, maximum. The technique is on their own choice, and dimensions A/4.
• Particulars about the authors should be written at the back side of the work.
Contest due date: The works will be accepted up to: January 20, 2018, at latest.
Awards:
• Three main prizes will be awarded: Golden, Silver and Bronze Plaque .
• The Organizer retains the right to award some additional prizes.
