VI. Participants and Scope
Any youth or child under 18 (born after March 20, 1996) has the right to participate in the competition. Individuals or groups are welcomed.

VIII. Rules
1. Participants are divided into Junior Group (middle school students) and Children Group (primary school students and preschool children).
2. Participating works shall be original, instead of modification, reproduction or copy from others. They shall boast entire copyright. In case of violation, the participation qualification of such works will be cancelled.
3. Each participant is allowed to contribute 1 piece of works.
4. The competition will not charge any participation fees.
IX. Requirements
1. Original works with healthy and positive content should be sent. The patterns of manifestation are not limited. Paper of single, four and multiple cartoon strips should not be smaller than 20×30cm or bigger than 55×40cm. No framing is needed. Cartoon books should be no more than 16 pages with a size bigger than 15×20cm and smaller than 30×40cm, and should be binded together in book form. Personalized bookbinding and layout are encouraged.
2. Each work will be stuck on the bottom right corner a form including nationality, name, sex, date of birth and group to attend (Middle School Group or Primary School Group), name of school, address, post code, telephone number, instructor, title and brief introduction to works, etc. Visit the official website of China International Cartoon and Animation Festival http://www.cicaf.com and the website of Hangzhou Youth and Children’s Center http://www.hzqsn.com to download the forms of Registration Table of the Participating Works and Statistics Table of Group Participation.
X. Awards:
1. Top Grade Prize will be awarded to 10 contestants (RMB 1,000 each).
2. Gold Prize, Silver Prize, Bronze Prize and Merit Prize will be awarded for 1%, 1.5%,
2.5% and 5% participants of total contribution works respectively.
3. Excellent Organizer Award and Excellent Tutor Prize are also provided.
4. Excellent Instructive Award is given to the teachers of winners of Top Grade Prize and Gold Prize as well as the teachers of the group winning the Origination Award.
5. Excellent works winning prizes will be included in the Collection. Each award winner will be awarded with certificate and one Collection.
6. Winners of Top Grade Prize and Gold Prize will award a set of Wisdom and Imagination published in the first half year of 2014.
XI. Works Exhibition
Excellent works will be displayed in professional art exhibitions or on the web, and names of all prize winners will be announced on the websites (websites of China International Cartoon and Animation Festival and Hangzhou Youth and Children’s Center). Also, some of them will be published in magazines such as Master of Humor and Wisdom and Imagination.
XII. Deadline

XIII. Agreement
No works will be returned back. The authors agree to transfer the publishing right, exhibition right and property right of the works to the Host. All the participants are deemed to agree with the rules above.

1 - DATES
The 2nd International Humor Exhibition of Manaus 2014, conducted by Jack Cartoon Productions / CT Tech Amazon Fight City Hall / Manaus / Amazonas State Government shall comply with the following schedule - Registration: until May 7. Art Selection: 22 and 23 May. Opening and Awards: June 2. Closing: August 3.
2 - PARTICIPATION
Professional and amateur artists, Brazilians and foreigners can apply unpublished artworks that were not awarded until the closing date for entries.
The works - all categories - can be sent by MAIL or ELECTRONIC MAIL (applications over the Internet, in the format and 300 DPI, JPGE, attached images at once).
The graphical technique is free. Digital copies signed by author and being indicated that it is print number 01 and sculptures, with humorous content will also be accepted. Maximum measures allowed: paper - 42 x 30 centimeters (A3) (16,54 x 11,81 inches), sculptures - 42 centimeters or 16,54 inches (height) x 30 centimeters or 11,81 inches (depth) x 30 centimeters or 11,81 inches (width).
Each artist may enter a maximum of 03 works per category: Cartoon (( graphic humor themed to FOOTBALL WORLD CUP), Charge – GRAPHIC HUMOR ( with graphic humor journalistic themes to FOOTBALL ), Caricature ( graphic humor which expresses the physical traits and / or character personality known in SOCCER WORLD CUP), Comic Strips/Comic Stories ( graphic sequentially . Caution: for comics stories will be accepted a maximum of 02 pages ) and THEME SOCCER WORLD CUP. Along the arts enrolled the artist must attach the completed registration form legibly and signed. It is also requested resume and photo to the database of Amazon Fight Training Center Tech.

3 - AWARDS
The Awards are a total of R$ 30,000.00 (thirty thousand reais), of divided as follows:
a) Four 1st place prizes in the amount of R$ 5,000.00 (five thousand reais) each, divided among the categories.
b) One award of R$ 10,000.00 (ten thousand reais) called GRAND PRIZE INTERNATIONAL HUMOR OF MANAUS chosen among the five winners of each category.
c) Beside the money prize, the awarded artists will be receiving trophies. Other awards and honors may be imposed at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.
There will be a Selection Jury and an Award Jury composed by qualified people in the area. If the Award Jury finds any type of fraud or plagiarism in one or more registered works, the Jury may cancel the award. The result of the award may be contested until a week after the opening of the Exhibition, with reasonable evidence of any wrongdoing without acknowledgement of the committee.
4 – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The simple application requires the artist to accept these regulations. The selected artists automatically transfer the authorial rights of his artworks for reproductions and publications in any media, without restriction, aiming promotion of the event. The returning of the artworks after the closing of the exhibition must be formally requested early in the registration form. Otherwise the artworks will ultimately belong to the collection of the CT Tech Amazon Fight City Hall, which will exercise the right of property, as it finds interesting.
The organization of the 2nd International Humor Exhibition of Manaus 2014 is not responsible for possible damages that may happen when the arts are sent or returned.
The authors transfer automatically Authorial Rights of his artworks when awarded acquisitively (including mentions), in accordance with the Law n° 9610, February 19st, 1988 (Authorial Rights Law), therefore, universal and definitely in all use modalities and gratuitous, the rights of the author, guaranteed by the mentioned law; referring to the awarded artworks in the 2nd International Humor Exhibition of Manaus 2014 and now integrant part of the CT Tech Amazon Fight City Hall .

REGULATIONS
1. Theme of the competition and participation rules
The contest is open to all cartoonists, illustrators and graphic artists from all over the world. It is possible to participate also out of the competition. This request excludes the author from the award of the prizes.
The theme of the contest is: RIGHTS, inviolable and universal
Authors can participate with a maximum of 3 works (Cartoons or Strips), inherent to the theme proposed in relation to man, his existence and the society where he lives, seen in a humorous viewpoint. In order to be understood worldwide and beyond every linguistic barrier, the works must be without dialogue or texts.
Works must be inedited (that is, neither published before nor used to participate in other competitions). The organization can decide to exclude from the award of the prizes those works that are found to have been already edited.
2. Shipping of the works and deadlines

The deadline for works reception is February 21, 2014
The acceptance of the works, the selection, and the assigning of the prizes are completely up to the Jury nominated by the Artistic Direction and "Gruppo Grafico Marosticense". The Jury's decisions are unquestionable and uncontestable.
3. The Award of the Prices and the Delivery of the Original Works
The Jury will award the "International Grand Prix Scacchiera", the Special prize "Sandro Carlesso", the Special prize "Marco Sartore" and 10 Special prizes "Umoristi A Marostica". Other special prizes or honorary mentions may be awarded.
The results of the Jury will be given directly to all participating artists by email and published on the web site www.umoristiamarostica.it.
The authors selected by the jury must send the original works for the exhibition.
If the work is realized exclusively with a digital technique, the author will have to send a dated, numbered and signed copy of the work.

4. Opening Ceremony, Awarding and Acceptance of the Regulation
The opening ceremony and the prize distribution will take place on May, 10, 2014 at Castello Inferiore of Marostica. The exhibition will be open until June 22, 2014.
All the authors selected will receive a free copy of catalogue. Non-selected participants will have the possibility to demand the catalogue compiling the form on the site www.umoristiamarostica.it.
The works selected for the exhibition and for the catalogue will not be returned and will be included in the collection of "Umoristi A Marostica Museum". Nonselected paper works for the exhibition and the catalogue will be given back on request before and not after June 22, 2014. Shipping cost is debited to the author.
The "Gruppo Grafico Marosticense" reserves the right to authorize the reproduction of the works and the diffusion of them through various communication means citing the author with the words "Taken from Umoristi A Marostica", without any payment. The "Gruppo Grafico Marosticense" is not responsible for transport damages.
The participation in the contest implies the complete acceptance of all the conditions and rules from the author.

On Tuesday, 1st April 2014, an exhibition of the best
competing works, a festive announcement of the results and the handing of prizes to the most successful authors of the 20th competition in accordance with the Jury´s decision will take place as follows:
GRAND PRIZE (Grand Prix) Golden Keg and 500 €
1st Prize Small GOLDEN KEG and 200 €
2nd Prize Small GOLDEN KEG and 150 €
3rd Prize Small Golden KEG and 100 €
The Competition Jury reserves the right not to grant any of the prizes or to grant other special prizes.

International exhibition "Apaguemos el Maltrato" is on from 25 November in Spain

The International exhibition themed "Apaguemos el Maltrato" (Extinguish Violence Against Women) is opened in 25th November 2013 in Madrid where is the capital of Spain with the participation of 24 prestigious artists from 21 countries and aims to raise awareness of abuse against women. In the afternoon, it was presented in Alcorcón, the first of the 12 towns that will hold the exhibition by the hand of the Women’s Institute of Madrid.
The exhibition after Madrid Royal Mail House will be placed at headquarters at the Women Institute of Madrid for a year. During the same period, it will be exhibited in Alcobendas, Alcorcón, Aranjuez, Boadilla del Monte, Getafe, Las Rozas, Móstoles, Pozuelo de Alarcón, Soto del Real, Torrejón, Tres Cantos and Valdemoro.
The two cartoons by Menekşe ÇAM take place in the exhibition to represent Turkey.
