III INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF GRAPHIC HUMOR LIMA 2010 - PERU
Dear colleagues and artists:
This year, Peru has become the center of world attention for organizing a series of international events being made and that call attention to issues and to be attended by leaders from around the world.
Active Communication in this context, with the support of various public and private organizations calling for the "III International Exhibition of Graphic Humor"- Lima 2010 event to be held for the third time in Peru.
The theme for this important room is the "Water", a subject that is topical, contante due to contamination of water resources, lack of effect of global warming and lack of care for humanity.
To do this we look forward to your input, since participation in the III International Exhibition of Graphic Humor will be for all artists in the world, whose career has been shown in various exhibitions and international competitions.
This important event will take place on 3 September 2010, will start with a taveling exhibition by various popular parks and plazas of Lima.
In addition, publish a book catalog with all the selected works and will be sent by post to all the participating artists in the sample.
We expect your valuable input, because that will make possible the realization of this important event.
Theme: "WATER"
REGULATION
1 - Theme: Everything revolves around the shortage, waste, pollution and water shortage in the world and what might happen if human beings did not have water to survive.
2 - You can submit two works from his personal archives or have been published or awarded. They can be prepared using any technique and should be sent only by e-mail, in no case shall there be original.
3 - The work must have a resolution of 300 dpi or more and a minimum size of A-4 (30 x 21 cm.). Along with the work should send your personal data (name, address, telephone number), a short biography, a photograph or caricature, and mailing address.

5 - The work must still be submitted until 30 June 2010.
6 - The reception of the works will be undertaken by the organizers of the III International Exhibition of Graphic Humor - Lima 2010.

8 - The selected artists will receive a deluxe copy of the book we will publish the papers sent to the hall.
9 - The artists that we authorise the drawings can be used on posters, t-shirts, press releases and printed material for the dissemination of the event.

Czech Union of Caricaturists - ČUK celebrate their 20th anniversary with a collective exhibition on April 6, 2010

Jubilee exhibition of Czech cartoonists
In Malostranské Besedy in Prague (Czech Republic) will be opened on April 6, 2010 the collective exhibition of satirical drawings. The exhibition is entitled "2cet" and is organized to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Czech Union of Caricaturists (ČUK). In the foyer of the theater will present their work 75 leading illustrators and cartoonists - the members of ČUK.

III. Baja Cartoon Competition
The town of Baja – famous for its Fish Soup Contest (http://www.bajaihalfozofesztival.hu/) - organises its third cartoon competition, and this time it goes international!
Every fun loving amateur or professional cartoonist is welcome to enter the event.
Theme: PASSION for HUNTING and FISHING
This passion is there in every one of us. We may not fish and hunt in the original sense of these words, but all of us long for the ’big prize’. Today, when we are experiencing financial, economic, political and moral crises, it takes more and more creativity hunt down or fish out that prize: a good job, a beautiful woman, a rare stamp, a big fish or a trophy. We spend our lives in pursuit of the big opportunity, the chance that may well be the only one.
Yes! If you think it over carefully enough you’ll see that we do fish and hunt in all walks of our lives.
Our cartoon competition calls everybody to show with the help of humour just how passionate men and women can be when they are fishing or hunting!
Competition details:
1.) Participants can submit up to three original cartoons in A/4 or A/3 size, using any technique. Prints of cartoons produced or coloured with software can also be submitted on condition that it has the cartoonist’s original signature and the print’s serial number.
(The copy or digital run-off of the original cartoon is not accepted.)
2.) The participants should write their name, address, phone number and e-mail address on the back of the cartoons.

Catalog 11th Festival Strumica 2010 arrives this week

Catalog Strumica 2010 with theme Carnival & Erotica arrived this week; many thanks to the festival organisers in Republic of Macedonia.
They write in the foreword that they received works from almost all continents i.e. from forty countries. The jury had to examine the two hundreds cartoons and over thousand aphorisms.
Just an example of the aphorisms is the Silver Plaque winner Dimitar Atanasov's from Bulgaria: 1. "Honey moon, First step towards Diabetes".
In the catalog are included the 4 prize-winning + 5 diploma-awarded works & 60 more cartoons of participants. Among those selected for the catalog are 5 cartoonists from Turkey: Erdogan Basol, Nuri Bilgin, Kemal Ozyurt, I. Serdar Sayar, and Mustafa Yildiz.
The catalog is 21x20.6 cm in size and has 16 color pages including the covers.
This is a perfect festival organisation since they do what they promise without delay. Congratulations!

REGULATION:
* Subject: Women are; Women.
The first international exhibition of humor Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, wants to reward the creativity and humor about the issue of women and power. And everything that inspires authors humorously women's issues are.
The year 2010 has been proclaimed by the OAS, as the year American women.
* Participants: The call is open to all artists worldwide, professional or amateur over 18 years.
* Each participant may submit one work.
* The work could not have been awarded in other contests or competed in other events.
* Technique: Any technique will be accepted (digital or by hand. A color or b / w).
* Size: The work may not exceed 21 cm x 29 cm or in proportional size, with resolution not lower than 300 dpi.

REGULATIONS:
1) The contest is open to all caricaturists / cartoonists, all graphic artists with humor, professional and amateur.
2) The subject matter of the exhibition is: Theatre (Theatre Drama, Musical, Caricatures of the theater ...)
3) Deadline: May 1, 2010.
Each artist can send until 4 works in black and white (one color - not accepted drawings 2, 3 or 4 color) format not exceeding A4, open to all techniques and styles (the work done the computer, beyond their transmission in electronic form - CD or floppy disk 300 dpis Jpeg - must also have an A4 print, hand signed and numbered 1/1) as a caricature, cartoon, design humor, strip, plank bd (a story board only) ... identified and they should come on the back with name and address, e-mail, telephone and Nº taxpayer. The works must be accompanied by a brief curriculum.
4) The work will be judged by a jury consisting of: a representative of the Board City Hall, a representative of the Parish of Cord; representatives of a family Oliveira Guimarães, the Artistic Director of the Biennale, a representative of the sponsors, and two guest artists, and awarded the following awards:
1st prize - € 2.000,00
2nd prize - € 1.500,00
3rd prize - € 1.000,00.
5) The Jury has the right not to exhibit any submitted work with no quality
6) The organization shall inform all the artists by e-mail have been selected, and what the artists awarded.

8) The winning works are automatically acquired by the organization. All others will be returned after the exhibition, with its catalog at the end of 2010.

International competition on drawing for women - "Jaka bede ...2011"
The topic of the competition is a woman in the satirical presentation, modern and fashionable, joyful and upset one, a wife, mother and a friend but also a sportswoman, a physician or just the woman... Everybody knows that it is not possible to live without her...
Participation
In the competition will take part drawing, cartoons and other plastic acts made in optional technics; those original works that have already been exhibited or published but not being rewarded.
1. Competition will be carried in categories: DRAWING.
2. Format of work - max A3, amount of work - up to 1 works.
3. Entrants are responsible for ensuring the correct postage.
4. Entries must arrive at the address below by not later than 25.02.2011 /deadline/
