Satyrykon 2025 - rules and regulations
I. Participation conditions 
1. SATYRYKON 2025 International Exhibition is an open competition. 
2. The objects of the competition are drawings, graphics and other works of fine arts and photography created with the use of optional techniques, being originals and qualified by artists to one of the following sections: 

I – theme: THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS 
II – JOKE & SATIRE 

1. WORKS AWARDED IN OTHER COMPETITIONS will be excluded from the SATYRYKON competition. 
2. Works are to be sent via the online form by 7th January 2025 (no later than 11.59 a.m., Polish time zone) avilable at: https://satyrykon.pl/en/applications/ 
3. Up to three works may be submitted for each section of the competition. Accepted work format: A3 (297x420mm) at maximum, 5 MB per picture, saved in JPEG format. In the case of objects that cannot be sent by e-mail (e.g. sculptures), please contact us: satyrykon@lck.art.pl

II. Prizes 
1. Works for the competition will be qualified by the international Jury. 
2. Jury will award the following prizes: 

* Grand Prix SATYRYKON 2025 – prize in kind – pure gold key and cash prize in the amount of 12.000 PLN 
* 2 gold medals and cash prize in the amount of 8.000 PLN each 
* 2 silver medals and cash prize in the amount of 7.000 PLN each 
* 2 bronze medals and cash prize in the amount of 6.000 PLN each 
* and 4 special prizes amounting to 5.000 PLN each 

3. Special prizes will be awarded: 
* Mayor of Legnica in amount of 5.000 PLN award 
* Director of Legnica Culture Centre in amount of 5.000 PLN award 
* Museum of Caricature in Warsaw in amount of 5.000 PLN 
* Satyrykon`s Andrzej Tomiałojć Foundation in amount of 5.000 PLN award 

The organisers are expecting extra awards for laureates: 
for the Author of THE BEST DEBUT and the Author of THE STUDENT DEBUT to be accompanied by a solo exhibition at the Satyrykon Gallery within the programme of SATYRYKON 2025 events. 

Jury has the right of final distribution of the statutory prizes, i.e. to change their number, not to award them, or not to award the Grand Prix SATYRYKON. Jury’s decisions are final. 

The index of works qualified for the 2nd stage of the competition will be announced on 24th January 2025 at Satyrykon webpage: www.satyrykon.pl

The Organizer will inform the participants who have qualified for the second stage of the competition via email. 

The competition results with index of works qualified for exhibition will be announced on 7th March 2025. 

4. Participation in the competition is free of charge. The work originals will be returned on condition that the Author donates one of the works of her/his choice to the Satyrykon Gallery – as a form of compensation for posting costs. In case there is no clear Author’s indication, the organizer may post the work back on the Author’s cost. Details of payment and return will be arranged in individual e-mail correspondence.

IN-KIND and CASH AWARDS ARE SUBJECT TO TAXATION ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT REGULATIONS. The condition to pay the authors is their arrival for the opening of the exhibition or the awards can be transferred into a bank account in a currency specified by the author. 

III. Participants’ privileges 
1. Authors of the works qualified to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue and a free-of-charge place in the catalogue. 
2. Organisers provide competition prize-winners with gratuitous participation in the SATYRYKON 2025 event on June 13-15, 2025. 
3. Works sent to the exhibitions will be exhibited in Poland and abroad after the main exhibition, and then will be returned to their authors by the end of 2025. WE KINDLY ASK THE AUTHORS TO NOTIFY US ABOUT ANY CHANGES TO THEIR ADDRESS DATA – RETURN ADDRESS / PHONE / E-MAIL (please contact us: satyrykon@lck.art.pl). 

IV. Final provisions 
1. Organisers reserve the right to use the sent works for SATYRYKON advertising purposes without any special fees paid to the authors: to be exhibited and reproduced in a variety of advertising materials, as well as printed and circulated in catalogues. 
2. The prize-winning works become the property of the organisers and will be included in the collection of the Satyrykon Gallery. 
3. The exhibition organisers are the final judges in interpretation of the regulations. 
4. Sending her/his work the artist agrees to the mentioned above rules and regulations and agrees to publication of the author’s profile in the post-exhibition catalogue. 
5. Legnica Culture Centre (+4876 72-33-700; e-mail: satyrykon@lck.art.pl,) is the organiser of the International Exhibition SATYRYKON – Legnica 2025.

Cybersecurity Cartoon Award
Regulations 
1. Introduction 
The Cyber Security Cartoon Award (CSCA) is dedicated to promoting awareness and creativity through the art of cartoons. This contest invites cartoonists from around the world to submit their original works. The following regulations govern the contest. 
2. Eligibility 
 The contest is open to professional editorial/political cartoonists of all ages, nationalities, and levels of experience. 
 Submissions must be the original work of the entrant. 
 AI generated images are NOT accepted in this award. 
3. Theme 
 The theme for the contest is "Cyber Security and Privacy". 
 Cartoons should reflect issues, challenges, and solutions related to cyber security and privacy. 
4. Submission Guidelines 
 Each participant can submit up to three cartoons. 
 Cartoons must be submitted in digital format (JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or PDF). 
 The maximum file size for each submission is 5MB. 
 Cartoons must be in A3 size (420mm x 297mm) and in high resolution (300 dpi), or A4 size (210mm x 297mm) and in 600 dpi. 
5. Submission Process

The humorous publication Melaíto and the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba in Villa Clara call for the 23rd International Exhibition of Graphic Humor, Santa Clara 2024. 
The categories in competition will be general humor and erotic humor
The works, duly identified, will be received at the following electronic address: 40melaito@gmail.com in Letter size (8 1/2 x 11 inches) and jpg format, at 300 dpi resolution.

2024 RULES
1 – PARTICIPATION: 1 September to 1 December 2024. 
The 8th "BEAVERS LAUGH" Bobritsa Village Cartoon Competition (the Ukraine) is open to all graphic artists, who can enter works that have not been awarded until the closing date of the entries, in the cartoon, caricature and comics modalities (the comic strip should have only one page). 
Each artist can enroll with the maximum of five (5) UNPUBLISHED works in the preferable format 30x40 cm (А4 minimum) and using any technique. On the back of each drawing, or in registration you must provide the author's full name, address (with ZIP code), email, phone number. 
The artists can participate by sending their work:

The main theme of the 8th Bobritsa Cartoon Competition is the COUNTDOWN
Although the name of the contest is BEAVERS LAUGH (in Ukrainian language the name of the village Bobritsa originates from "beaver"), this does NOT mean that the artworks should be only about beavers. First, they should be original, smart and funny, so, please, do not restrict yourself to beavers as heroes! 
Meantime, apart to the main theme of the contest we have our SPECIAL BEAVER AWARD for all «beavers» artworks as well! 
3 – AWARDS 
(a) First prize for the main theme: EURO 500 (five hundred). 
(b) Second prize for the main theme: EUR) 300 (three hundred). 
(c) Third prize for the main theme: EURO 200 (two hundred). 
(d) Appreciation awards (2): EURO 100 (one hundred) each. 
(e) Special BEAVER AWARD (awarded for artworks where BEAVERS are the heroes regardless of the main theme): EURO 300 (three hundred). 
4 – OTHER RULES 
Before the official announcement of the winners by the Jury, the organizers reserve the right to publish electronic copies of the preliminary selected artworks (from which the Jury will make its final selection) in the internet with the purpose to determine with the help of the public if any of submitted artwork repeats or copies previously published cartoons. 
By sending his / her artwork to the contest the author gives to the organizers his / her permission to display publicly the artwork during the award ceremony as well as to publish it electronically on the official sites / pages of the contest on the internet or in other electronic and print media in connection with the promotion of the contest, advertisement and news / reports publishing. If you are not agreeing with this, you should not send your artwork to us. 
The awarded artworks will be considered acquisitive and will become part the property of the organizers, and all winning artists assign their copyright and property rights worldwide to the organizers from the date when their artworks were submitted. 
The works will not be returned. 
May not participate in this competition officials of Bobritsa village community, the Jury, their relatives and anyone involved in the organization. 
The award cash amounts are payable only upon the receipt of the original artworks by the organizers of the Competition to the personal bank accounts (IBAN or another appropriate bank account number, full name of the bank, bank code (BIC / SWIFT), correspondent bank’s name and account (for non-EU banks)) of the winners provided in writing (email) along with copies of their passports / IDs (if required by our bank). 
The organizers have full discretion to decline any submission before the Jury's consideration and to revoke / cancel any prize awarded by the Jury in case of confirmed facts of plagiarism, repetition of the plot etc.

Caricature Contest, Sharawatch 2024, Serbia: Full batteries - Empty land

The organization "Sharawatch" announces a caricature contest with the following theme:
"Full batteries - Empty land"
We invite all professional and amateur caricaturists to submit their works, made under a mining lamp, light powered by lithium batteries, candle light, the Sun or in the shadow of Rio Tinto… by 1 November 2024.
Contest rules: 
1. Theme 
Key words: ...mine, lithium, scorched land, batteries, electric and "flying" cars, profit, displacement of people, "prosperity", colonization... 
When you are digging for lithium under fields and pastures, the next image is still life. The batteries you get as a result will only suffice for one emergency call. The surrounding land will be empty, devastated, and the answer will be – the user is not available or has cancelled …everything. 
2. Contestants 
The contest is open to all citizens of Serbia and beyond. Citizens of the World can participate, even aliens, people living close to mines, owners of electric cars, even those using rickshaws, cell phone owners and those using smoke signals. Owners of mines and miners, why not? 
3. Works 
- Maximum number of works per contestant - 3. 
- Works must be sent in JPG/PDF format (resolution 300dpi). Only original works will be accepted. All graphic techniques are allowed. Format A4. 
- Works should be supplemented with information: title of the work, name and address, e-mail address, cell phone number and short biography of the author.

4. Copyright 
Three winning works will become property of the contest organizer. All participants agree the contest organizer may publish their works in brochures, catalogues, the calendar and the media. Award-winning works from other contests will not be selected. 
5. Awards 
First award: 300 EUR + a day’s stay in a mine. 
Second award: 200 EUR + three days’ stay in a mine. 
Third award: 100 EUR + five days’ stay in a mine. 
6. Jury 
Members of the jury: Caricaturist Goran Ćeličanin; Milenko Vasović, columnist of the daily Nova; Ljiljana Bralović, acvist; Snežana Jovanović, "Sharawatch"; Zoran Mihailović, caricaturist. 
The jury will not be assessing the works at the Hyatt or in a mine shaft but will certainly adhere to professional standards. 
The decisions of the jury are final and not open to appeal (neither is BlackRock). 
The authors of selected works will receive the catalog in PDF format. 
By subming their works, contestants accept the rules of the Contest.
