New deadline in Daejeon International Cartoon Contest: 31 August 2012

DICACO 2012 CONTEST POSTPONE!
Thanks for your participating in DICACO 2012. Our committee noticed (decided) in postponning constest deadline of two more months for exhibitions in main city, Daejeon & new capital city, Sejong. Please publish it your cartoonists and mass communication. We hope many cartoonists take part in my DICACO 2012 contest.
1. This year's contest comprises a Thema section (titled New city & Eco Story + Olympic Game) and a Free section.
2. The size of works should be smaller than 297mm × 420mm.
3. Any color, free style, and unlimited items(+2 Works).
4. Each entrant should provide title, name, age, address, career, e-mail, and telephone number on reverse.
5. The deadline for entry of original works is August. 31, 2012.
6. Entries should be addressed to the Daejeon Int'l Cartoon Institute.
7. The most creative cartoon will win the Grand prize of $3,000, Gold prize of $1,000, Silver prize of $500, Bronze prize of $300, selected works will be awarded.
8. Exhibit the cartoons at the Sejong & Daejeon Gallery in Oct. 2012.
9. Submitted cartoons will not be returned, but exhibited forever in Korean public halls, art galleries, & museums.
10.Your cartoon may be used for promotional purposes : cards, posters, catalogs, magazine, books and web etc.

Theme in Cartoonale Brugge 2012, Belgium: Crime and Punishment

1. THEME: CRIME AND PUNISHMENT
2. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES PER PARTICIPANT: 3
The works must be original, not previously published and all graphic techniques are allowed.

it is recommended to put the cartoons in a sealed envelope bearing the words “NIET PLOOIEN – DO NOT FOLD” or to mail a download link to cartoonale@brugge.be (minimum 300 dpi).
4. THE MAXIMUM PAPER SIZE OF THE DRAWINGS IS A3 (297 MM X 420 MM), the registration form must be attached to the back of each cartoon. If the cartoons are sent by e-mail, the registration form (or the required information) must be attached to the e-mail.
5. BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH PARTICIPANT GIVES THE CITY OF BRUGES THE PERMISSION TO PUBLISH THE SUBMITTED WORKS AND TO USE THEM TO MAKE PUBLICITY FOR CARTOONALE BRUGES AND FOR THE CITY OF BRUGES.
6. PRIZES:
First prize: 1,500 Euro
Second prize: 1,000 Euro
Third prize: 500 Euro.
7. THE THREE PRIZE-WINNING CARTOONS WILL BECOME PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF BRUGES.
8. WORKS THAT HAVE TO BE RETURNED WILL BE SENT BY POST. Cartoons returned will be handled with care, but the City of Bruges cannot take responsibility for any loss or damage caused by the postal service.
9. BY SENDING IN ONE OR MORE CARTOONS, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO ABIDE BY THE CONTEST RULES.

11. THE EXHIBITION.
The exhibition of the selected works will take place from 13 till and including 27 January 2013 in the Jan Garemijn Hall in the Halles, Markt 7, 8000 Brugge. The exhibition is open every day from 10 am till 5 pm and entrance is free.
Prize-giving ceremony: Saturday 12 January 2013 at 7 pm.

Themes in VIII Hall of Humor Limeira 2012, Brazil

VIII HUMOR HALL OF LIMEIRA - SP/ BRASIL
REGULATION
The VIII Hall of Humor in Limeira, designed and promoted by the fanzine O PIU, open registrations for all artists around the world, which draw a free hand, with entries until SEPTEMBER 12 of 2012.
Participants can sign up with how many original works they like, of its proper authorship, UNKNOWN AND ORIGINALS, in the minimum size of A4 paper (21 x 29.7 cm) and up to A3 (42 X 29.7 cm). The back of each work must be identified with the category and full name.

Entries are free.

The simple inscription of the participant fully and automatic means the agreement with this Regulation.

14th PortoCarto​on 2012: On-line Voting until 31 December 2012

The on-line voting is now open for the PortoCartoon 2012.
