Yesterday, 8 March, was killed tragically outstanding Belarusian artist Andrei Puchkaniou, the cartoonist.
Andrei Puchkaniou (1960-2009) was undoubtedly the most internationally well-known Belarusian cartoonist. He was the winner of, among other competitions, Aydin Dogan (Turkey), Yomiuri Shimbun (Japan), Satyrykon (Poland), Jaka Bede (Poland), Biennial PĂ­sek (Czech Republic), Biennial Tehran (Iran), and Kolasin (Montenegro).
Total outstanding work of his great originality and a unique technique of drawing a few dozen times to be awarded on all continents.
