R U L E S
1 - Could participate FESTIMENC the 2nd, professional and amateur artists, living in Brazil or others countries, provided they respect the rules of this regulation. Will be accepted work produced digitally, as well as sculptures or other proposals, provided that the perpetrators sending in the vertical direction, taking steps such as the A3 format (29.7 x 42 cm), as follows:
* CARICATURE/ HUMOUR PORTRAIT: Theme: "JORGE BENJOR" (Brazilian singer and composer)
* CARTOON: Theme: "DRAGOON or WARRIOR"
* CHARGE: Theme: “POLITICS IN THE WORLD”
2 - Each competitor can participate in three modes, with only a work in each mode. And behind each work should include: Full name, nickname, Full Address, Phone, Email, and Category Entered, Title of the Work.
3 - For each of the modalities will be given 20 (TWENTY) Honorable Mentions, which will be determined by the number of points awarded by the judges to work competitors. By way of comment by competitors, the work will be analyzed in the following aspects:
* Development of the subjects offered (in all categories)
* Distortion and preservation of identity (in caricature form)
* Technical (all categories)
* Presentation (in all categories)
4 -To 20 (TWENTY) best artists in each discipline will be awarded certificates of Honorable Mentions of the 2nd FESTIMENC and their works will be exposed in the Cultural JORGE BENJOR, which is beside the railway station of Realengo.
5 - The first three placed in each category, according to the decision of the committee judges, will be awarded the following prizes:
1st, 2nd and 3rd place - special certificate Trophy + Project SORRIALENGO Kit (shirt, cap, key chain and a caricature in color produced by cartoonists of SORRIALENGO)
6 - For those prepared to work computer, its authors must send the art-final in size A3 to the address in item 8. WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ONLINE.
7 - Work winners become part of the file Project SORRIALENGO and can be run in future exhibitions, provided that they have to respect the disclosure of the design of humor and there are no profit with the same exposure and the authors are reported and have its claims and contacts exposed. And the other work may be withdrawn personally at the same address, until the day on March 20, 2008, Monday through Friday, from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm on presentation of identity. After the day on March 20, 2008, all those works that are not withdrawn will be part of the file Project SORRIALENGO.

9 - The entry in the competition implies the acceptance by competitors of all terms of this regulation.
10 - If the committee judges is informed by one of the competitors on possible fraud or breach of any of the items of the regulation, it may dismiss the award, thereby giving that competitor who has then. Single paragraph: If any of the competitors have a complaint to make regarding potential fraud, for which the claim is examined by the judges, can not be made until the day before the awards. If not happen that way, it will be disregarded.

REGULATIONS OF INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION SATYRYKON-LEGNICA 2009 - POLAND
PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

1. The SATYRYKON 2009 International Exhibition is an open competition.
2. The objects of the competition are drawings, graphics and other works of fine arts and photography created with the use of optional techniques, being originals, completed within the recent two years (2008-2009), and qualified by artists to:

A) HUMOR and SOCIAL SATIRE (drawing without captions preferred)

B) W O M E N mother, wife, lover, working woman, artist, feminist... (drawing without captions preferred)
3. WORKS AWARDED IN OTHER COMPETITIONS will be excluded from the competition.
4. The format of the works - maximum A3 (297 x 420 mm).
5. Works should be sent or delivered by February 7, 2009, packed in a protective cover to:

Organisers are not responsible for transport damages.

THE PARTICIPANTS ARE KINDLY ASKED NOT TO POST THE WORKS VIA ELECTRONIC MEANS AS THESE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR THE COMPETITION.
6. Participation in the competition is free of charge. However, the organiser reserve the right to include one of the submitted works in the Satyrykon Gallery. The work, chosen by the author, will in this way cover our costs of mailing (please use capitals).
7. Works should be accompanied by their author's photo or caricature, a short biographical note and a filled application card.
PRIZES
1. Works for the competition will be qualified by the International Jury.
2. The Jury will award the following prizes:
* GRAND PRIX SATYRYKON 2009 - pure gold key and purse amounting to 5.500 PLN
* 2 gold medals and purses amounting to 5.000 PLN
* 2 silver medals and purses amounting to 4.500 PLN
* 2 bronze medals and purses amounting to 4.000 PLN
* 4 special prizes amounting to 3.500 PLN each
* the Legnica Culture Centre director's award and purse amounting to 3.500 PLN for photographic work.
The Jury has the right of final distribution of the statutory prizes, change of their amount, or non-awarding them or non-awarding the GRAND PRIX SATYRYKON. Jury's decisions are final. The competition results will be announced on March 1, 2009 at Satyrykon web site: http://www.satyrykon.com/.

N o t e !

Awards are subject to taxation according to the current regulations. The condition to pay the authors is their arrival for the opening of the exhibition and collection of their awards by December 15, 2009, or indicating a bank account the money should be transferred to.
PRIVILAGES OF PARTICIPANTS
1. Authors of work qualified to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue and a free-of-charge place in the catalogue.
2. The organisers provide the competition prize-winners with gratuitous participation in the SATYRYKON 2009 event on June 12-15, 2009.
3. Works sent to the exhibitions will be exhibited in the country and abroad after the main exhibition, and then will be returned to their authors by the end of 2010.
FINAL PROVISIONS
1. The organisers reserve the right to use the sent works for SATYRYKON advertising purposes without any special fees paid to the authors: to be exhibited and reproduced in a variety of advertising materials, as well as printed and circulated in catalogues.
2. The prize-winning works become the property of the organisers and will be included in the collection of the Satyrykon Gallery.
3. The exhibition organisers are the finial judges in interpretation of the regulations.
4. Sending his work the artist agrees to the mentioned above rules and regulations and agree to the publishing of the author's profile in the post-exhibition catalogue.

Dear Mr. or Mrs,
In May 2009 the Federal Organization for Physical and Multiple Handicapped People will celebrate its 50th anniversary in Berlin. In 1959 it has been founded by parents of children with spastics. The group of people with cerebral palsy still forms the biggest part in our association.
We themed our 50th anniversary - also in allusion to one of the main characteristics of this disability - with following slogan:
"It doesn't matter how you move,
what really counts is what you move!"
It would be a great pleasure for us and all the people who get involved in our work, if you could paint a little caricature or what ever you like that adverts to our slogan. We will collect the drawings that we receive and want to publish them in a brochure. We would like to give these brochures to our members and guests on the anniversary celebration. Of course we will sign each drawing with the artist's name.

INTERNATIONAL CARTOON COMPETITION

«VISIT TO THE DENTIST»

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT is to present an opportunity to the medical professionals in the field of dentistry to glance at their profession from the caricaturist’s point of view. Aching tooth so to speak has always been a widely exploited theme in literature, just to mention A. Chehov’s short stories like “Chirurgia” (“Surgery”), “Loshadinaia familia” ( “Horse-like last name”), and R. Burns’ poem “Ode to the tooth ache”. Almost every Flemish artist had a painting dedicated to the “extraction of a tooth” theme. Wilhelm Bush-the founder of modern comics also used a dentistry theme in his work. Why does dentistry inspire so much creativity?

Dentistry develops and improves constantly. Recent innovations in dental technology and treatment methods have changed dentistry dramatically over the past 20 years. We are very interested in the caricaturist’s point of view, and are curious if recent advances in dental science are being reflected in the work of modern artists and caricaturists. Are the reasons for the smiles and laughter the same as hundreds of years ago?

We are confident that items and creative ideas presented during this exhibit will be very helpful to our patients as well, because smiles and laughter are the best anesthetics before a trip to the dentist.

METHOD: Creation of an exhibit to present creative potential of artists and caricaturists from Russian Federation and other countries.

FORM: Organization of international caricature competitions and exhibits during the work of professional dental conferences, recognition of the most talented work, publishing of album-catalogs.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Jury of the competition will accept and consider work presented in caricature category.

Items for the competition must be submitted before March 12, 2009.

International caricature competition will take place at the following address: Sanatorium “Detskoselskii”, Centralinaia St. 11 lit A, Detskoselskii, Pushkin, St. Petersburg

Exhibition will take place at the exhibit pavilion “LenExpo” during the work of XII-th International Stomatological Conference and “Stomatology 2009” exhibition in St. Petersburg from May 12, 2009 till May 14, 2009.

Press conference and presentation of the album-catalog of the exhibit.

32 participants, recognized by the competition’s jury and by spectator’s choice will receive rewards and prizes.

First place – one prize - 30000 rubles, and main prize – MARBLE WISDOM TOOTH.

Second place – 2 prizes – 15000 rubles.

Third place – 3 prizes – 10000 rubles.

The other 26 selected participants will receive Diplomas.

7. FORM OF PRESENTATION: Personalized card 10 x 15 cm format (book version or album version), only 5 cards can be presented to the competition by a single participant.

Participants can present their personalized cards for the competition in electronic format (TIFF, JPG with 300 Pixels/ Inch resolution).

8. During preliminary stage of the competition 96 items (personalized cards) will be selected; each one of them will be included in the catalog of exhibition. Organization committee of the competition will inform every participant in advance about a necessity to present original items (personalized cards) for the competition in a required format.

9. Items presented for the competition will not be returned and can be used by the organization committee as it sees fit.

10. Participation in the competition means an agreement and acceptance of the above rules and regulations.

The Union of Cuban Journalists, the Circle of Humorists and Cartoonists of the UPEC, and the Museum of Humor of San Antonio de los Baños, called the XVI International Biennial of Graphic Humor Cuba 2009, to be held from March 29 to April 2, with the coauspicio of the Directorate of Culture in Havana, and Latin American Federation of Journalists (Felap).
For the salvation of the species proposed the meeting in a world where we talk about emissions of carbon emissions and climate change, media manipulation, deforestation, desertification, inequality, war, unipolarity, xenophobia. Those who make you laugh and think being called a planet, where campea irrationality of the privileged to maintain their wealth and turn food into energy. The increasingly hungry stomachs of the poor of the land claim to the danger to jungles, forests, and the air we breathe. We call on the cartoonist for the defense of humanity.

THE FINAL AND DEFINITE RESULT OF THE CONTESTThe 1st International “Olive” Cartoon Contest Committee, after consideration of the objection of the participants M. A. from Turkey and A.F. from Russia concluded that the cartoons of the cartoonists Dechko Nikolov(Bulgaria) who won the second prize and the cartoon of the cartoonist Kürşat Zaman (Turkey) who won special award were drawn in the past. Exhibition "Masters of ZEMUN and Collection Crihana" 15-29 October 2008

The exhibition brings together ten cartoonists, illustrators of domestic and international politics in Serbia and Romania. The works come from two private collections of the two countries, namely, Salon International Caricature Zemun collection and collection of Galatean cartoonist Florian Doru Crihana.

International cartoon Saloon Zemun was founded in 1995 and quickly became known in the world, and now is living in a selective manner, that is participation is based on special invitation. Thus, the event was posted by salons and festivals in the cartoon world, dominated debut artists and amateurs.

"Collection Crihana" was founded in 2000, through acquisitions and exchanges of works that cartoonist Florian Doru Crihana did with Romanian authors in particular, but also with colleagues abroad. In only 4 years, the collection was presented to Cartoon Museum in Warsaw and the House of Humor and Satire in Gabrovo. Florian Doru Crihana organized with his collection over 80 exhibitions in Galati, Bucharest, Warsaw, Gabrovo, Bielefeld, Istanbul, Urziceni, Gura Humorului, Oostende.

Ten cartoonists who exposed in the Romanian Literature Museum are particularly active in Serbia and Romania. They are: Slobodan Srdic, Dusan Gadjanski, Vladan Nikolic, Vlado Volas, Slobodan Obradovic, Devis Grebu, Octavian Bour, Constantin Ciosu, Mihai Panzaru-PIM, Dan Silviu Turculet. Among the Serbian artists are the great masters Slobodan Obradovic and Slobodan Srdic with over 50 years of activity in every area and the Romanian cartoonists Devis Grebu, Octavian Bour and Constantin Ciosu with a long activity in Romania and the West - Devis Grebu, for instance, the illustrator and a columnist at the daily newspaper with a presence for decades in famous publications Le Monde, The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and more.

The exhibition is the third in the series of Serbo-Romanian presentations. The first two took place in 2006 the "Exhibit Serbia - Romania" and in 2007 the "Serbia vs. Crihana" exhibition.

"Individual Disarmament: Entitle Life!" Cartoon Exhibition in Eskisehir, Turkey

Anadolu University Museum of Cartoon Art hosts the Individual Disarmament Cartoon Exhibition between September 26 – October 17, 2008. The opening ceremony will take place on Friday, Sep 26, 17.30 hours at Akcami Mh. Malhatun Sk. No:6 Odunpazarı ESKİŞEHİR, TURKEY.

The exhibition is organized by Umut Foundation to show the damage the weapons and individual armament bring to society and environment.

We read in the report by the Foundation that “events of killing and injuring with firearms are never missing in the third pages of the newspapers, the fact that per year approximately 3000 people are killed just with firearms in Turkey and that 700 of these happen accidentally, prove how individual disarmament is an important issue.”

28th September is known as Individual Disarmament Day. It is an important ground to show our confidence to “individual disarmament” and our determination.

The Umut Foundation realizes education and campaigns besides academic works as regards the rule of law, peace and conciliation, awareness of citizenship, violence and individual disarmament as citizens knowing, requesting and implementing their rights and responsibilities, in order to spend their lives befitting to human honor, to leave our children with a world which the culture of nonviolence and peace is overriding. The Umut Foundation carries out work to mold public opinion, informing and raising awareness.

Within this frame, the Foundation organized the national "Individual Disarmament: Entitle Life!" Cartoon Contest in 2007. 265 artists (under 18 and over 18 in total) contributed with their 468 cartoons. A selection from these will be on display at Anadolu University Museum of Cartoon Art until October 17, 2008.

INVITATION TO TENDER
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of Hungary and the Hungarian Culture Foundation organise the 12th Hungarian Cartoon Festival between 3-30 November, 2008 in the building of the Hungarian Culture Foundation, at Budapest.
The title of the Festival is “Intercultural dialogue”.
We invite Hungarian and foreign tenders in the following topics:
I. Defined theme:
“European Year of Intercultural Dialogue”
II. Optional theme:
Valid only with the defined theme.
Prizes:
The first prize of the defined theme is 200.000,- HUF*
The prize of the Secretariat of International Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Culture within the theme “about/for youth” is 100.000,- HUF*
Other prizes are draws.
The maximum size of the cartoon is A/3.

“European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008”

Europe is becoming more culturally diverse. The enlargement of the European Union, deregulation of employment laws and globalisation have increased the multicultural character of many countries, adding to the number of languages, religions, ethnic and cultural backgrounds found on the continent. As a result, intercultural dialogue has an increasingly important role to play in fostering European identity and citizenship.
The European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (EYID) 2008 recognises that Europe’s great cultural diversity represents a unique advantage. It will encourage all those living in Europe to explore the benefits of our rich cultural heritage and opportunities to learn from different cultural traditions.
The Year will feature a small number of flagship projects on a European level, as well as EU support for a national project in each Member State, and a Partner programme aimed at mobilising civil society. The active involvement of civil society will be essential in highlighting good practices and identifying needs in intercultural dialogue. Well-known ambassadors have also been appointed to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of intercultural dialogue.

The European Year of Intercultural Dialogue (2008) was established by Decision N° 1983/2006/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council. (18 December 2006).
Topics:
Intercultural dialogue is a wide-ranging transversal priority of the European Union.
To illustrate more concretely what it may cover in the context of the EIYD 2008, eight major topics have been selected:

17th EURO-KARTOENALE KRUISHOUTEM 2009: SAND, PEBBLE AND GRAVEL
RULES
1. Theme: “Sand, Pebble and Gravel“
2. The number of entries is limited until 5. They shall not have been exhibited or published before. Works must be originals and any kind of graphical technique will be accepted, including digital artwork if they are originally signed and if the print is number one (manual numbered). Please use the Entry form
3. The works have to be sent to the following address:
EURO-KARTOENALE, WAREGEMSESTEENWEG 113, B-9770 KRUISHOUTEM - BELGIUM
Our website will inform you if your works have arrived. The list of participants will regularly be updated.
4. The drawings shall have the following dimensions: 210 x 297 mm (A4) - (8.268 x 11.693 inches). The works shall not be provided by a passe-partout, neither be stuck on to a larger paper. The drawing must bear, on the reverse side, the surname, forename and address of the participant. The drawings shall not bear subtitles.
5. By virtue of their participation, the participants authorize the organizers to publish some of their works that they have received (in the catalogue and for the promotion of the exhibition).
6. The following prizes are foreseen:
1st prize: € 1.600 + trophy
2nd prize: € 1.400 + trophy
3rd prize: € 1.200 + trophy
Prize of the ECC: personal exhibition in the ECC
Prize of the EU: €750
Best Belgian Cartoon: €350
7. By participating the participant lends his works to the organizers for exhibitions. The works received will remain at the disposal of the organizers until 01.11.2010.
8. The entries will only be sent back by the organizers on receiving a written request. The awarded works will become the property of the organizers.
9. If after announcement of the prizes, it appears that plagiarism has been committed, the jury can after deliberation withdraw the prize.
10. DEADLINE : 2009 February 15
Exhibition: during the Eastern Weekend and each Sunday from the 19th of April till the 21st of June 2009 – European Cartoon Center Kruishoutem. Opening of the exhibition: Saturday 11th of April 2009.

In order to receive the free catalogue, please attach six (6) coupons "international reply" to cover the postage. These coupons are available in your local post office.
INFORMATION ABOUT THE THEME
The organisation wants to award a prize to cartoons on the theme “sand, pebble and gravel” (industrial materials, extraction and application).
